Biggest jerk was Sid Mal's character Abhimanyu who not only betrayed his best friend but was also completely unapologetic about it.

In the end they try to justify the affair of Abhimanyu and Shanaya by portraying like Rohan was never in love with her, which he wasn't but it still doesn't justify what they did.

Also them holding grudges for ten years wasn't realistic either.

I think we can still give Shanaya some leeway because Rohan was a jerk to her.

But he always treated Abhimanyu with love and respect as his best friend, and the way he betrayed him and didn't even feel guilty about it. He literally had no excuses for what he did!

I don't feel sorry for him either but that's because KJO failed to make me care about any character in the film.

Rohan was treated awfully by his father & he thought of Abhi as a very good friend, it's not even about the girl but the trust he had on both.

He never thought Shanaya would do that to him because he didn't know girl was seeking validation, so he thought she knew how much she meant to him. No matter how flirtatious he was, he didn't cross the line but those two did & he caught them, beside the audacity to blame him after all that.

KJO was too much in love with Sid to make a hero out of a badly written character by making him lose the SOTY trophy on purpose but nah! It doesn't change anything.
