Ten years ago people are actually not this shallow. That time people actually accepted someone like ram kapoor an overweight guy, loved sushi's manav, a character who was mechanic worked in a garage with a torn cloth.
For once let the creative show what they want. If it turns out bad than crib as much as want.
Butting in, I don't follow a lot of posts so not exactly sure what kind of cribbing is going on. From a general pov, I guess it's because people often tend to associate all these with 'power' and consequently a 'strong' male character (although that shouldn't necessarily be the case). Just to be clear, I like RR with all these but I care way more about his character arc than just his suit, boot or bungalow. It's worth wondering though, if we take all these material/superficial things away from Raghav, he'll still be Raghav but how much of 'The Raghav Rao' will be there? Many of the things he does or says now leave an impact merely because of the power he holds and I think that is part of how his character is written on paper. Ram's character in balh and manav in pr were perfect because that's how their characters were written on paper--people didn't expect them to exude that hot-headed/angry/arrogant/impulsive and "I'm the Don" vibe, unlike RR. I loved the foodie, relatable ram and the simple, working-class manav who had to struggle to make ends meet. Again, Idk what others might be complaining about so please excuse me, I guess my main concern is giving Raghav's character a 180 shift that goes against the things we've seen about him. He's a complex, flawed and questionable human being and I as a viewer find that relatable. I don't mind Raghav changing his priorities and ways of working slightly to make room for ethics/morals but if he becomes a manav or ram or a typical ITV male hero representing values and ideals, I'd rather watch those shows.
