Also it was Shiva who started hating Raavi...not Raavi...& Shiva also have said really mean things to Raavi...but what matters is eventually they both cared for each other always... & now like each other...thats the best part...they are just unaware about how important they both are for each other...

Hopefully we will get a beautiful track where both Raavi's & Shiva's character will explored really nicely...& Let us see where this imperfectly perfect couple goes!

& Guys its #shivi at the end...Shiva & Raavi...for me both are equal...but yeah I relate to Raavi more...so thats why I wrote that post...but that doesnt mean that I dont like Shiva...I also love his character shades!

You haven't offended anyone dear, you can have and share your POV ā¤ļø

The problem is with the writing of this character. I feel she is used more as a side character to highlight other characters (Dhara, Rishita, Suman and Shiva).

Raavi was my favourite character post the leap but I don’t think I can connect to her anymore. I saw so much potential in her back story regarding her parents and her equation with Shiva.

However after the marriage track, I feel like the makers are just confused when it comes to her. There is just no depth to this character, nor any thought process when writing for her. Her flaws are highlighted significantly yet there is no inside given as to why she is like that or what she is feeling. This ultimately lets the audience make a lot of assumptions about her, which can be good or bad but also very dangerous (I have read a lot on her character on different platforms and all I can say is that alot of people are very confused regarding her šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø including me)

Post marriage (in different tracks against different characters of the show) they have shown her as judgmental, shallow, mean, rude, egoistic, dumb, immature and incompetent with housework (remember when Dhara was sent to her brothers house and she and Rishita were not able to handle the house chores or when she couldn’t differentiate between two spices when she went to help Shiva at the store). They have also shown her as weak; mentally, physically and with her iq. Nothing really to admire about her, hence audience are disconnecting with her.

It has been very strongly established that in her relationship with Shiva, he will always be the provider and her the taker. He will always be the one that will save her, sacrifice for her and make grand gestures. But my questions is, isn’t a relationship a two way street, what will she provide him, the makers have completely forgotten to highlight that. Even as shivi fans, the makers have set our minds to thinking this, that is why we always demand that Shiva should save her, Shiva should help her in her studies, Shiva should give her money, Shiva should stand up for her, Shiva should fight for her. But what about Raavi, again nothing šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Sometimes I do question exactly what Shiva likes in her all of a sudden. The makers didn’t give any reason apart from the fact that she loves his family, but hold on didn’t she already show that when he had hated her pre marriage, so what is new.

I am highly disappointed with the writing of this character, she was my favourite and now they have just make her 🄓, lol I don’t even have a word to describe. I doubt the makers are ever going to focus on her growth, which will ultimately lead to audiences detaching from her (don’t blame the fans, makers have left them with no choice).

The current track is her track with Shiva, yet there is no clear inside on how she feels. We even get a better inside on how Dhara feels about the divorce but not Raavi who is actually getting divorced. As I said in the beginning she is used as a side character, a typical ITV side character who’s personality is altered in every track to suit the main characters of the show. I wouldn’t be surprised if they convert her to a negative character in the future for a short period of time so that they can show Dhara bringing her back in line.

P.S sorry for the long rant, i am just trying to put my point across. Raavi was my favourite in the show and i have come to a point where I don’t feel like watching anymore. I apologies if my post offended anyone. Also apologies for the spelling and grammar mistakes 🤪

Raavi isn't my favorite character in the show, but I agree with what you said regarding her. There is not much substance or depth in her character, and she is mostly shown as reacting to either Shiva or dhara. I have also wished for her feelings, fears, abandonment issues and insecurities to be further explored.

I would love to see what she provides in her relationship with Shiva too. Because right now as you said, it all is coming out as pretty one sided.

There were so many opportunities for the writers and makers to explore her character but it all got swapped under the carpet.

1. The Kangan track. No matter what Shiva’s intension was, it would have hurt anyone who was put in Raavi’s place. Yet they showed Shiva feeling bad about it (sitting on a tree scene) but not how truely hurt Raavi could have been. More so they showed Dhara telling Raavi that Shiva is a good person and she should come home. And boom just like that she was home and all happy šŸ™„This was a perfect track to explore Raavi and her abandonment issues.

2. Her studying again track. I would have liked it if they showed her reflecting that during her bachelors degree she had wasted her time at college running after Dev and with her friends. How she regarded it and wants to go back and really give 100% to her studies and do something meaningful. That would have shown character growth and how her recent experiences post marriage has made her reflect on her life.

3. Shiva pointing a finger at her character. I would have liked makers to have explored the repercussions of how this could have affected Raavi in the society. Let’s face it people are cruel and would have said things behind her back. Also the Pandya’s have a good reputation in the society and people would lean towards them. Hence I would have liked to see how shiva and raavi reacted when others gossiped about her. They literally showed one scene with shiva in store saying that he needed to clear her name and then nothing was shown. This could have been a good track to explore Raavi’s issue about always presenting herself in a certain way in the society (all her comments of being good, cute, perfect bahu material and beautiful and all that). Maybe she does this to get people to like her, that also could have explained why she takes everything at face value. A lot of people who have many friends and people surrounding them are truly lonely. Maybe she is one of them šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

I can keep going on but will stop. As I said, really disappointed with the makers when it comes to her.

On a positive note, they have really developed Shiva’s character well and I hope they continue to do so. One can really connect with him and all his actions/flaws have been shown with a reasoning. I just hope that at least they show Raavi regard her words for him and judging him, I think that is where the track is heading šŸ¤ž. I have no hopes of them ever addressing Raavi’s issues and insecurities.

Sorry again for the long rant.

I'll admit, I'm the first one to have an over the top reaction about the two girls and the flirtatious nature of their conversation šŸ˜† however, I too am very excited about this track because not only will it highlight more of Shiva's education track and why he had left his studies to begin with, but it might hopefully give us more of an insight on Raavi's thoughts and feelings. I think that's my main issue with the show - we barely ever get any solo scenes of Raavi where she is introspecting on what has happened, how she feels, and what she wants to do moving forward. Everything with her is so wish-washy, some days she wants to do one thing and other days she's onto the next thing with no proper closure. I just want to know what's going on in they woman's mind and this might be something that can be showcased by a slight jealousy track w/ Shiva and insecurity track w/ Raavi. Do I want the separation between them to be prolonged? No, not really. But how will it ever make sense for the both of them to come together if they aren't sorted on how they feel, if they haven't discussed everything that went wrong on both sides, if they don't give themselves and each other a proper - full disclosed chance? I am a sucker for the lollipop scenes we got this past week but how long can this intense, surface level scenes go on without them falling back into the same cycle of insulting each other mercilessly? With a heavy heart (mainly if PS is going the third angle track), I admit that I am excited about this track. I want to see growth from both sides but mainly Raavi's.
