The focus of this plot is his inability to be fully honest with Pallavi. It's not really about customs evasions and the morality of that - it's just a means to bring about the real conflict.
Raghav yet again lied/kept things hidden from Pallavi even after she asked him to be open with her and asked him to not do something, which he agreed to. In the precap, she asks if the diamonds are his - I can guarantee he'll lie. This is all compounding into Pallavi's heartbreak of realizing that Raghav continued to lie to her.
Actually I meant to say that we shouldn't pin our hopes so much high on writing on things like pallavi broken trust or raghav emotional trauma when pallavi leaves him
writers have a very bad habit of turning cruncial scenes and plots into comedy and ignoring the basic details. They can change anything at last moment for general itv audience , that's what I am apprehensive about
