Young Madhuri could have pulled the role effortlessly. Ash also is a great choice

Yes, she is a princess married to a crown prince and she lives a life of hermit in a jungle with unprecedented grace and selflessness. Her anguish at the thought of being maligned and judged because of Ravana, despite all she went through, is beyond words. A princess who chose to live like an ascetic, a goddess who exercised remarkable restrain and selflessness! How is she a flowerpot role?

Maroony masti nahi 😆

Sita Maa was the adoptive daughter of King Janaka, and had one sister called Urmila and two cousins Mandhavi and Shrutakirti.

Sita Maa was married to Ramaji, Urmila to Lakshmana, Mandhavi to Bharata and Shrutakirti to Shatrugana. The four brothers were sons of King Dashratha.

They were all very beautiful though...not just physical beauty, but they were all spiritual, divine people, given that it was a different Yuga there was purity all around.

Don't even bother.😆 It's not even TV shows. Valmiki and Vyasa have to compete with "my daadi said," and the actual authors lose.

If a person is unable to perceive the power of sun, how can anyone show or prove it to him/her?

true i remember someone saying that kmg is a shady book 😆

brc and older ramayan has contributed alot to this now those versions are so deeply ingrained that would call actual version as false

Sita is an ordinary character - an abla nari, damsel in distress. Anyone can play her.

We need to have debate on Soorpnakha or other interesting female characters where there is scope for performance.

She was outspoken, freely expressed herself, was tempted by the material golden deer, spoke harsh words, repented, loved her husband, was faithful to him, served her family, did not get seduced by the glamour and material objects in Ravana's palace, faced an angry and suspicious husband, tried to appease him, reconciled her marriage, later accepted her separation and raised well balanced children as a single mother.

Her character is too vanilla for me to be interested.
