I think she is trying to prove that agar bhes badlo toh even normal people can be fooled, Adi toh bechara drugged tha. That seems to be my understanding. Another theory in the spoiler thread is that Imlie may use this disguise to fool AC that she is Malini to get to know what exactly happened. Something tells me that is the proof that she shows in the camera in the promo as well.

This seems logical..AC ko trap karegi Imlie to take out the secret of saree..
