And while his ‘family’ doesnt care for him as much as he cares for them, he knows they are a step family & they are still somewhat affectionate. Plus he has great clean memories of his dad & a comfortable life & a great set of friends. His pathos is largely imagined & self-inflicted!

It is Priya who has not just lost in love but been betrayed twice. Plus she has the added stress of running her household on a shoestring & dealing with constant interference of her villain dad.

I mean, there's no objective or third-person way to answer how or why someone develops a psychological disorder like ED, depression, anxiety, bipolarity etc. Princess Diana, for all her riches and adulation, had bulimia. She ate like Ram and forced herself to puke it out till she recovered from the ED. Really there's no valid or invalid form of emotional stress.

Neither Ram ordering soo much felt show off nor Priya ordering upma felt show off. That's how they both are.

If it's not used for comedic relief, I don't think anyone of them deliberately, they both are genuine in how they behave.

Priya doesn't have an ED, but she has massive abandonment issues which don't let her be at ease anywhere. One thing that strikes me is that when all the sisters met Ram and gang at the restaurant, she wasn't letting even her youngest sister order something for herself. I am sure both of them are sensible enough to not order something outrageously costly, but she genuinely doesn't let herself be at ease in any situation. Honestly, even her hatred for rain is an indicative of it. All her points against it are valid in a very refreshing way, but her reations to it are bit much. They are both such lovable characters because of how vulnerable they both are. It was a bit out-of-place because of how rushed the writing was last week. Now it's a slow-burn. ❤️

I'm usually a silent reader of this forum but I totally agree with you. It seems to me that Ram has an eating disorder. The way he keeps eating all the time.I can't help but recognise some symptoms because I myself suffered from something like it in the past. Though my issues stemmed from anxiety. I would be really happy if they show Ram seeking professional help to deal with this and not going the itv( love cures all)way. It is beneficial to have positive influence in your life and someone who loves you and cares about you but it is in no way some miracle cure that will cure psychological issues. Priya could help by making sure he gets the help he needs and support him. I hope the same for Priya, that she seeks a therapist because she has some deep rooted issues herself.

It will be refreshing to see our protagonists that suffer from some issues other than amnesia or going bats**t crazy and seeking help for it. Might set a good example as well (that it is important to seek help and in no way makes you weak). As much as I want this, I'm not sure that they'll go that way.

Just my thoughts though.
