Anupamaa's beloved Baa is an absolute witch of a woman who puts the comforts and convenience of her rotten son above everyone else. Anupamaa's recent mistakes have shown Baa's true colors. She doesn't really care for Anupamaa as a daughter. She never did. Her manchild of a son will always come first despite his actions. I mentioned this before, it irks me to my core that this woman has never even offered Anupamaa a glass of water in all the years she has served this wretched family. Even after she came back home after having fought cancer, no one remembers to give Anupamaa her medicines. Rather she is running around the house making sure everyone is comfortable and her Baa Baapuji are taking their medications on time. If she isn't doing it, she makes sure someone else is. Baa makes coffee for Kaavya, a woman she apparently hates, and even served her water after the three of them came back home in today's episode. There was a third glass on the tray. Baa didn't even glance at Anupamaa. These actions might seem miniscule but they speak volumes.

I was very happy when Baapuji gave Leela a piece of his mind when she was acting like a complete witch in yesterday's episode. But it is clear as day, his words will not have any impact on her. Also, whenever someone insults Anupamaa, why is everyone's first instinct to sing her praises? Why does no one address the root cause? When someone wrongs someone, you emphasize on the wrongdoer and how they can rectify their mistake. Lekin yahaan toh ulta hai. The main issue is always swept under the rug. And Anu enables this messed up mindset and expects everyone else to follow suit. When there were problems between Kinjal and Baa, Kinjal had to apologise even though Baa was clearly in the wrong. Kinjal kept saying that the issue wasn't the workload but the comparisons and expectations. And yet, that entire issue was never addressed. Gaslighting karke ultimately Kinjal was made to feel guilty and eventually apologise. Baa gets to walk free yet again. Zero consequences. The reason there is no character development in this show is because the wrongdoers are never made to realize their mistakes. The problems always end up with how great Anupamaa is. The elderly get to continue with their dumba**ery because they are the elderly. The youngsters also get their free ticket to behave however the f**k they want because they are young and this is the time to make mistakes. And men won't be held accountable because they are men.

There are no boundaries between any of the dynamics in this house. Which is why there are constant fights and arguments. Anupamaa needs to set her boundaries. Only then will she learn true self-respect and self-worth. I love how she gives Vanraaj back these days. But she needs to establish boundaries between herself and Baa as well as Baapuji. Otherwise one will always insult her and the latter will find ways to lure her in uncomfortable situations through emotional blackmailing. Baapuji might be a good man, but his silence and emotional blackmailing has done his beti more harm than good. If he truly had her best interests at heart he would have given her a share of his property but never let her stay in the same space as her abuser.

I don't even want to get into Vanraj. He's a perfectly consistent male chauvinist pig. And his lovely, immature, unprofessional wife is a perfect match for him and his mother. I must say I thoroughly enjoy how just the presence of Anuj brings out the insecurities in this little boy. And let's not forget how Anuj put Kavya in her place yesterday. It was music to my ears. I always wondered what a 'modern, independent' woman like Kavya saw in an orthodox man like Vanraj. But now it's pretty clear. They are both superficial and thrive on authority and control. Doosre ko neecha dikhake apne aap ke baare mein better feel karte hain. Baa's upbringing shows in Vanraaj's behaviour and also explains why she's getting along with Kavya.

And yes, please cancel Mamaaji already. Or stop normalising his creepy behaviour. Toshu calling out Baa and Mamaaji's unacceptable behaviour was confused with badtameezi and shoved under the carpet beautifully. 👏🤔

Goodness that was long. I could probably start a weekly podcast discussing this show. 🤣I have so much more to say. The frustration is building up. All these years and the only thing that is nayee is the wardrobe and the make-up. Soch abhi tak waisi ki waisi hai.

If the CVs are reading this (highly unlikely), please show your female lead setting some healthy boundaries and stop being such a doormat in the future, especially for the elderly. This is NOT normal. Also, make Anuj her support not her savior. She needs to learn to save herself. Tab hoga asli character development. And there is no rush. Unlearning years of abuse is a tough path to walk. It won't happen overnight. I am looking forward to Anupamaa's journey. Bas inn doosrein characters ka kuch karo. Dimaag kharaab kar diya hai.

Very well analysed. The shah's are steeped in double standards and Baa her son and his dimwitted wife typify meaness. They never spare sny opportunity to pounce and be little Anupama.

They assume they are great and all their flaws need to be overlooked. Baa has no ounce of goodwill in her towards Anupam a and doesn't deserve any respect. The way she speaks and treats Anupama reeks of entitilement. The same is stamped on the DNA of her son and his favourite kids.

The journey of Anupama needs to be the focus and Anupama should continue to respond to the loser Vanraj the way she did today.

I have no idea if anyone has already talked about this before but i just suddenly recalled that since anupama has always been dragged down in the 26 yrs she was vanraj's wife and leela's daughter in law she has severe confidence issues.

But both the times we have seen her take a very strong for herself is when she was in the company of people that respected her opinion and encouraged her ideas openly.

In the resort it was advait. He brought out that fierce anupama that wasnt willing to take crap from anyone from his simple presence. With the way he treated anupama genuinely as a friend and respected her opinions and ideas and actually listened to her instead of trying to tag her as illiterate and stupid.

The same way anuj has brought out that same positive change in her. She hadnt had too much interaction with anuj that day in the reunion party soo she did bow her head in shame when baa taunted her. But today?

Anupama felt heard. Anuj gave her that non-judgemental space to express herself and it automatically gave her a confidence boost. Not even baa's objection could stop her from replying back today

Amazing and brilliant post and nothing but the complete truth. There were many other issues like

1) Samar not accepting a job in the show just to show that Samar values family more than Toshu and that was all because of Anupama. Seriously half of my family and many cousins live outside India. Yes having a son near you is always every parent dream but don't parent want their kids growth. And its not like they forget their parents. It is in a way means for them to take better care for their parents and yes I will say it outright money matters. You have to think of them when the bills pile up. But nahin happy family dekhani dekhana hain ki Anupama ke values kitne ache hain but is that the truth

2) And then the whole house help issue that they made a joke of. Half of the woman thrive because of house help. Even if someone who is staying home mam they hire help as it gives them some time for themselves and there is nothing wrong with this. But no we are super woman we will do all on our own.

3) Toshu wants to go and live separately. I get it Toshu is dumb ass and he has no spine who is living of on Rakhi Dave but what was so wrong with him wanting to live away from this madness. And this house is madness. Who would want to live in a house where you mother live your father and his new wife. Many couples live separately and still maintain good relationships. In fact there are people where parents and the couple live in the same building but in different flats. All get their own space. There is nothing wrong with it but that is maha pap in this show.

4) Now the biggest problem the ever accepting Anupama. You suffered years of abuse from a man and then that same man cheated on you for 8 years, 8 long years. But she is ready to let it go its a small tini tiny thing. Kya farak padta hain?? Saath main rehte hain ek ghar main. I mean why does it matter that they sleep in the same room where you used to sleep with the same man for 25 years but all is hunky dory. Suddenly you are okay with being friends with the same man as well. I get it you want to show strong Anupama but itna unrealistic expectation bhi mat set karo. Had they just shown some time frame like Anupama has to live with Shah after one year of the divorce or something like that I would have understood but this is just madness.

The kind of people you surround yourself with has a huge impact on how you view yourself. I have experienced that first hand. You can already see tiny changes in Anupamaa since Anuj has stepped into her life. It takes one person...just one person who believes in you to change everything.

And Anuj is a gem. His chivalry reminds Vanraj of his own boorishness which is why he is acting out. Who likes to be shown the mirror? Especially when you are a pig? And he has an army of people behind him to validate his stupidity. Baa and Toshu are scum.

You have perfectly written down my frustration as well. Only difference is you still have hope for Anu to fight back.

My all hope die down the day she decided to stay back with that trash family. It is not easy to move on from years of abuse, and on the same thought it is absolute BS to not take an opportunity to get away from the abuse. Reason being her children doesn't make much sense either- her mom's home is just a street away🤔

Another thing she enjoys serving Vanya- that is like crossing every line out there of being realistic.how on earth is Vanya her family

On the name of nayi soch, makers are basically implying - women in any relation are only good enough if countiue to being doormats. They think that when Anu's big lecture and Samar/bapuji/Anuj's 24/7 hours praises are making Anu look strong or different- then they are wrong. For me she isn't any different till she still willingly stays in that house, not to forget while serving everyone while actual bahu is Kavya!!
