I am not a lawyer but my lawyer friend is clear about one thing only Hindu marriage act any section applied to the parties when both parties is Hindu according to law. Hindu law is not applied to tribal communities. if valid marriage needs to be conducted between tribal girl or boy who is not Hindu as per sec 2(2) will need to get married under special marriage act. I think practising lawyers know the law well than me. Hindu marriage act validates marriage between two Hindu. Only writers can clarify Imlie belong to which sect. if they are alleging she is tribal girl than Hindu law not applied on them.

The point is not abt validity of wedding .. the fact that Adi and Imlie both hid their wedding and made a public joke of Malini by again marrying her is something which is not taken well by viewers..Atleast Vanraj waited for a divorce ..of course extra marital affairs is morally wrong but concealing first wedding amounts to cheating and this bigamy attracts immediate arrest by law..but this serial is in true Lalaland still stuck in 2011 Ishti Kutum and what not where fans have swarmed from one serial to its remake thereby deciding which characters to support right from day 1 .. but for fresh Imlie viewers, this story is ridiculous ..as far as Trps are concerned, badnaami mein bhi naam hai, just see outside how much this serial is being panned in imdb ratings.. waha pe bhi fans are writing token reviews andhardly 10 to 20 people like those.. but negative reviews have so many likes 🤣🤣

As I said in an earlier post in the UK things are different if you love someone and are autisic or religious or whatever and not ready for a full blown marriage there is a ceremony called The Blessing where you basically have a loose wedding without having the certificate then later when you are ready you just go to your marriage center and pay for your certificate for the blessing that already took place to convert into marriage.

The Blessing option existing means that it is legally binding all you have to do is pay for the legal paperwork later and it's converted into a wedding.
