BRILLIANT BRILLIANT AND ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF KAM3..👏 Absolutely stunning performances, the right amount of emotions and the content was exactly what I wanted to see since the time Farhad came to Multan.
Amma-Farhad-Abba
Buckets of tears, lots of tears and genuine tears, let me just say that Asma Abbas and Feroze, indeed looked like real mother-son👏. I could not hold my tears when they kept hugging and both sobbed like a baby, it felt better than Farhad-Mahi reunion, felt better than anything that happened in KAM3 so far. From the initial shot of Amma fainting in Farhad's arms and the hug, this was exactly the reunion which had all the elements blended so well, the drama, the emotions, the right amount of time in the episode. The way Amma complains that 'jeete ji maardala tha tune mujhe', yes Farhad you wronged this woman so much but I am glad that he boost up his Amma's strength like 'how can you believe that I am dead?', she did not, she did not but she knew that Farhad still was in trauma, still in lots of pain and the way she says that how can my 'prince' son tolerate all the heat and wind and live this life, I will live with him🥺. I loved how Farhad kept sobbing silently, neither he stops her by saying that no you cannot do it, nor does he say anything like 'I am okay', he sobs depicting the truth that from inside he is so broken and so much needed this support, the love, this whole conversation has my heart.
The best part of the whole conversation ofcourse was Abba's acknowledgement, for the first time instead of mocking Farhad (for his self destructed state), he indeed supported Farhad's decision of fulfilling a commitment here, Farhad was not getting paid or rewarded but his sense of responsibility and dedication towards the job given to him by Head Fakeer baba earned Abba's shabashi. The way he called Farhad his fakr and then that sudden surprise on Amma's face and the way she claims that I can live alone and without him only because finally and finally my son got his deserved love from his Abba, and then Farhad's sobbing and subtle smiling on the whole hugging event between him his mom and dad, this whole scenario just gave me so much of peace, so so much sukoon ke kya bolu❤️. Finally, Farhad is doing something where his parents have their support and thus now he will have no burden or he will not have to think twice if he ever has to take a life changing decision.
What scared me was the fact that this reunion seemed more like Farhad's 'last good bye' 😭. When he said 'Main wapaas zarur aunga lekin abhi nahi', it felt like he will definitely go back to Lahore but may be only for his last rites, for the first time, I am praying that my prediction is wrong, because while he said this, he was rubbing his mother's tears and kissing her hand, trying to love her as much as possible. Farhad needs to live not because his character matters to his family a lot but also because the message of the show needs to be hopeful and positive, makers should stop giving hints of his death
Farhad-Mahi
The struggle, boy the struggle to not feel her presence or even remember her, I just loved it, for the first time i saw Farhad closing his eyes and trying to forget that image of Mahi's, it was such a minor scene but so powerful, because he remembers her when he is looking outside the window, her words of 'go back' echoes depicting that even now, all she wants from him is just leave from her vicinity (things did not change at all) and after all this he closes his eyes in frustration only to be more frustrated by remembering her sad face from the shaadi ka dua scenario. No matter what Farhad does or tries to do, Mahi has occupied all his bones in the body, it is bad than addiction, it is worse than junoon, as everyone says, it is his rog, he is infected with the idea of Mahi and her love and there is no healing at least till now.
Farhad-Fakeer baba
And thus, to find some peace of mind he closes his eyes to remember the words of Fakeer Baba. This whole conversation probably was one of the most important one in the show's history, and it clarified so many things. Farhad claimed and clearly said that he came here only to hide from the mockery of a failed ishq, he thought people might mock and laugh at him for the delulu and the fact that he got fooled into something like this, and that whole confession made me . This only proved that his self confidence was zero, he has no trust on his worth, he thinks that he is only available for being mocked, he is till so naive and emotionally damaged that it looks so unfair. He also says how 'his dil has khot', so he basically knows that he is also wrong for whatever happened, but he is as helpless as someone who has no self confidence is, he wanted to hide from Mahi and every one who knew him, so that nobody thinks that he is useless. Irony of the decision is that, the more he tries to run away, the more he encounters her and he goes all nuts and restless as if a memory loss would give him peace.
The conversation is very important because, finally we get to see what Farhad is trying to transcend into, Fakeer baba already planted the seed of being 'selfless and free' in love, in Farhad's mind and now when Farhad reflects into his situation, he started believing that 'yes he actually still loves Mahi with the same intensity even though she can never be with him and will never love him back' and for the first time, when he opened his eyes there was a subtle relief, a sense of confidence that 'Yes, I love her and will keep loving her, fearlessly and without any expectations'. Fakeer baba saying that 'Ishq hai hi aisa, even if you do not get reciprocation, the love you have for someone can never vanish off', and thus Farhad reflects these words upon himself, where time again he gets to know that Mahi is marrying someone else, he is visibly hurt but he still cannot forget her, he does not even have any anger at her anymore, he is the same Farhad who believed that 'His qayanat ki jeet is only Mahi', but now the reality check came again, that no matter how many boundaries he crosses, Mahi and him are not made for each other and thus the slow and subtle beginning of transforming into a zone of selfless love ❤️. I liked how they maintained the continuity here, Farhad saying 'Qayanat ki jeet is Mahi' on 29th episode was still the immature and visibly bitter Farhad, then Farhad visits haveli to get the trauma of her 2nd marriage, then he meets his Amma-Abba and they boost up his confidence, and then only he starts reflecting and paying insight to Fakeer's baba's words, so the timeline and Farhad's thoughts being gathered together has all added up so well that kudos to the director here, at least we understand Farhad, after the long drag and stagnant pace in between.
Farhad-Nazim Shah
I can only 😆🤣. I love how NS is so much interested in his ex driver's love life and jog bhari duniya, I did not see it coming🤪. Jokes apart, I liked how they gave a political angle in this 'Farhad kiska aashiq?' search, because NS wants to rule Multan and being the land of saints it has always been power-led by the Fakeers being appointed based on hierarchies, and NS knows that saints are a huge part of the elections, thus Farhad and his sudden change into a substitute head of the mazaar has NS on his toes because NS knows that aur kuch ho ya na ho, Farhad definitely has the quality to win common people's trust and love. Also, the fact that Farhad while being in Bahawalpur haveli was so vibrant and fearless, dedicated and popular, suddenly became a fakeer, it is definitely a case of curiosity, thus a really interesting twist here, finally full team Bahawalpur will be in action.
Mahi-Sahiba
Nothing new, the same old rinse and repeat, Sahiba trying to make Mahi accept the truth and take a stand, Mahi's same old jagirdari and izzat and shedding 'victimized' tears, like abb mujhe haasi bhi nahi aati, I just yawn 😵. I liked how she remembered his dua and his broken and hurt eyes and it kept ringing her ears, for the first time it was not baddua but dua, Mahi is obsessed with the idea of 'Farhad ruined', like she knew and knows that he cannot heal but she does not also want to witness his barbaadi, like lahore jake barbaad hojaye but I cannot see it please, I guess she does not comprehend that he is in that state where even if he goes back, he will be as ruined as he is now, it is not going to bring back the old Lahore's Farhad. Mahi should take a stand and just say NO to Sikka for HERSELF and her own life, not for Farhad or anyone, your love for Farhad is weak anyway, but at least be true to yourself, what is the point of not telling a NO when everyone treats her like a queen and will accept her decision? Why is she behaving like she is forced when she is not, neither her saas, Sikka or her mom has forced her, she can at least talk to one of them but nahi, what is this obsession of self sacrificing and then crying foul like 'I want to give all my colors to Farhad but I am stuck', nahi chahiye behen, Farhad ki chor, khudki zindagi and spinal chord ko straight karo pehle.
Romana-Mahi
I do not know what should I say, Roma fell sick in all this and she is continuously blaming Mahi for everything, even Chanda aunty saying that Mahi made Romana do what she never thought of doing, so is it really fair to feel bad for Mahi? She did not even comprehend that she broke Farhad first and then Romana without informing Sikka and now said yes to marry Sikka and saying she is the bechari here? The writer must understand that just by making the female lead cry buckets of tears cannot justify certain things, she cried guilt and baddua for 30 episodes but repeated the exact same thing with someone else? Why? Only to satisfy and strengthen her position at her mother in law's life? And we are supposed to sympathize with Mahi because she is helpless? 🤣. The writer gave all the grace and elegance to Romana and made Mahi into an annoying riddle, who took 32 episodes to hint about her love and is still repeating the cycle of annoying self pity and crying helpless.
The episode was so good that I watched it multiple times, worth it. Feroze, Asma Abbas, Wasim Abbas and Sohail Sameer deserve applause, they are just such treat to watch, what a fabulous team they have. Also, the episode had all team Lahore, team Bahawalpur and Team Multan in different scenes, for the first time in KAM3, all the past and present plots blended so well, it was indeed a joy. The only person missing right now is Dilware, but soon he will reunite with his friend, I am waiting 😳.
