When you feel a character and truly put yourself in the character's shoes, you don't need to act/perform anymore. That's what happened to Sai with Raghav Rao.
Most of the other actors had settled into their characters right from the outset but he took a bit longer. I guess it's also because the writers themselves changed direction slightly. Largely, it's been Sai working on his craft, though.
His emotional scenes are much better but he needs to keep working on it, especially the ones where he has dialogues. His silent ones are great so I know he will eventually get there with the ones where he has to be more vocal. I know he's serious about his craft and when he says he tries to improve on every performance you believe it because the results are there for everyone to see.
I say this as a Sai fan, so no bashing please.
