I really think that she doesn't need anyone to defend her as she herself is doing that job quite brilliantly. But to watch someone(supposedly her future love interest) standing up with her and really defend her would be a treat and vice versa too, Priya doing the same in front of his so called family.Why should a girl with 4 family members need a new man in her life to defend her against her father & stand up for her? If that pativrata mother of hers would just stand up to her so-called husband & kick him out each time he showed up at her door instead of entertaining him at her dining table (as she did few epis back) - that is all Priya needs.
On one hand we are appreciating Priya for being a strong woman & on the other hand why are we waiting for a man to come & defend her?
And this is a man who cannot even stand up for himself against an ex-GF & step family who are using him.
Both of them need each other for themselves... that's what we want in actual.
After all no matter how much we fight with negatives, its always appreciative to have someone backing us... her mother is too docile and homely to ever do that... but then she actually showed some courage to talk back to her husband this time when he repeatedly threw insults at Priya.
She (Priya's mom) had lived her life like this the whole time till now, I think she needs little more time to come out of that zone, we cannot expect instant change in her, but the good thing is that she is coming out of that zone.
