Vijay did not follow Pallavi to Raghav's house. Vijay just happened to see Pallavi leaving when he went there to warn Raghav after Raghav had trespassed in Pallavi's room and reached around her torso after she told him to leave.
Vijay's question to Krishna wasn't prurient. He was asking about the tenant-landlord relationship between Pallavi and Raghav. Krishna was uncomfortable because she knew that Raghav was torturing Pallavi, and Vijay would have protected his daughter, but Pallavi didn't want Vijay to know.
Imo, VD was definitely questioning if there was anything beyond the tenant landlord relationship. He is shown with an internal dialogue where he is regretting for having doubted his hardworking daughter. Now what is he doubting his bahu of is obvious, if it was only tenant landlord equation what is there to doubt on?
From what I remember, Krishna was uncomfortable because of the question. She even thinks what kind of questions uncle is asking.
