I've always felt Raqesh is ALL about the 'Image'. Whoever or whatever makes him look good, gives him favor and helps him get through in the game through patli gali, he will side there. Shamita ke saath, he knows he can be in the shadows. The only one that stamps on him in this dynamic is Shamita. But he probably doubts, that if he was with another person in the house, every housemate with stamp over him as this spineless banda has no say and plays it safe, to the point it's disgusting.
With Shamita, she is loud - so she shuts them down - according to him. She is respected by KJo, so he escapes the bashing, she is called 'classy' by KJo, so Doormat wants to be associated with that. That's why he dropped Divya after week 1.😆 And in any task - he targets Divya, because she's the easiest target! Shamita aur Neha bura maangenge nahi.😆 Aur baaki sab ke saath bhi ban kar rakh sakta hai woh.
