I understand everyone's frustration with the writers and Dev. If they wanted to show a communication gap, there would have been a million reasons why dev couldn't reach the cafe. But they chose a pretty lame one, which was not full proof. What I don't understand is this . Because the counseling is being so beautifully handled. The person or persons who is writing that, how can they be writing the other part as well? That for me is wierd.

I felt that the dev sona conversation was also a good one. Sona must have been and is beyond hurt when Dev didn't reach during asha ma's death. And it's very true what she said that if it had been his mother, he would have probably never talked to Sonakshi again. So really where is she in his life??

The problem is dev is however that the man cannot introspect or reflect even if his life depended on it. He doesn't seem to understand the consequences or impacts his words or actions have, or that often his actions don't match his words. He seems to have memory and consciousness of only the present moment, without any context of the past and future. Which is why he doesn't understand why sona refers to the past in their fights. Probably because he is every one's raja beta and never held accountable. And this has continued to be his problem since day one. Honestly he needs counseling first before them as a couple. As I had said before, he will need to truly understand the why of counseling. Sona knows that there is something broken which needs care, but dev very clearly doesn't see it that way. Unless he feels the need for it, nothing will change because counseling or any help doesn't work that way. So I hope they can get the story to this point. And please be a little consistent with thr writing.

Would love to know your thoughts about the current situation!

The show was always inconsistent from the first episode..I can't get past the fact that they could give education to 3 kids but not Neha..atleast homeschooling or something they should have done..nothing was ever real in this show..don't know why viewers are noticing only now..

Neha is a bit older than Ria and Nikki, she's closer to Dev's age. When they lost their father, they were still babies, Nikki can't have been more than a few months old. All the money they Ishwari earned went towards food and Dev's education, and Neha stayed home to watch the kids.

By the time Nikki and Ria started school, they must've been in a slightly better position financially. It's even possible that they went to the local free govt school the first few years, maybe in primary school. By then, Dev would have been in a financial position to educate them well. Neha would've missed at least 4-5 years in the middle, so it probably wasn't possible to regain that lost time later.

I feel the main problem with him is that his actions adn words do not match. He says beautiful lines but his actions are kinda ugly.
