Unexpectedly Good Onscreen Pairing

Which Bollywood pair do you think had the most unexpectedly good chemistry onscreen?

My list -

1. Katrina Kaif-Akshay Kumar — They did loads of movies together but I couldn’t connect with them till Namaste London. Their chemistry in that movie tugged at my heart strings ❤️

2. Kareena Kapoor - Shahid Kapoor — Don’t kill me but they seemed to be a mismatch till Jab We Met. He looked like a young college kid, while Kareena looked way more mature. Never thought they would work romantically onscreen like they did in JWM.

3. Rani Mukherjee- Abhishek Bachchan — I couldn’t picture them together till Bunty Babli and Yuva. She was so tiny and Bachchan wasn’t anyone’s favourite for a long time 🤷‍♀️

4. Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan — Hated them together in SOTY 1. Couldn’t imagine them looking anything good together. But I fell in love with their pairing in Humpty Sharma 💕

5. Ranveer Singh - Deepika Padukone — He was just too lafanga-ish and unkempt. Couldn’t imagine him with a dainty beauty like Deepika. But undeniably, they look amazing together onscreen and offscreen 🔥

6. Shahid Kapoor - Alia Bhatt — Umm, was anyone expecting them to match well? I can’t decide whether it was their chemistry or just the characterisation in Udta Punjab, but I really liked them together in that movie 🍿

I always knew Abhishek and Rani would look great together. Kareena and Shahid were a surprise .

Namaste London was Katrina's first movie with Akshay wasn't it?

No, there were some trash movies like Humko Deewana Kar Gaye that released earlier. I never liked their pairing before Namaste London 🤷‍♀️

Story and plot plays a part in actors chemistry too.

I thought Ranveer and Sonakshi had a great chemistry in lootera. Not sure if they would have same chemistry in other movie.
