Yes, d.padmini, Vijay tried to take away Raghav's wife at the Mangalā Gaura (not Vaṭa Sāvitrī) and Vijay physically blocked Pallavi from going to Raghav. That was wrong. Raghav's behaviour on those occasions was more alarming: he attacked Mandar with a sharp glass object and he drunkenly shouted out that he would end his life if Pallavi didn't come back to him.
Raghav has caused lasting pain to every member of Vijay's family and Raghav has tried to defame and destroy Vijay's business just because Vijay's and Pallavi's positive interview followed a report on Raghav assaulting Jaya's doctor, Dr. Sharma. So, let's view Vijay's wrongful detainment of Pallavi in context.
Raghav has consistently displayed more disrespect for women than Vijay. Raghav repeatedly told Pallavi that women shouldn't drive (he had rear-ended her while drunk), shouldn't run businesses (having lost Rs. 50 crore over one refused bribe), should stay in the kitchen (where he's helpless), she doesn't look hot enough to sell, she's a "bl**dy gold-digger" etc. When Raghav bragged about casual sex with Pallavi and showed obscene photographs of himself with a woman as proof, he knew that Pallavi would be humiliated as a woman of easy morals, while he remained eligible to marry "a Telugu actress, a decent girl" thanks to male privilege. And Jaya, the woman whom you credit for Raghav's upbringing, voiced the sexist idea that Raghav, whose sex scandal had been in the news, could make society respect Pallavi by marrying her. Meanwhile, Pallavi recalled that Mandar, the son that Vijay raised, didn't ask her to be a housewife, and Vijay trusted her with his business.
Vijay announces decisions like taking a loan, and expects Sharada to support him; Sharada outspokenly opposes Vijay and expects him to support her choices for Pallavi. That's just a marriage of two headstrong people, unlike the abuses in Raghav's marriage to Pallavi that we are supposed to find cute. Has Vijay ever come home drunk and thrown money at Sharada for ruining her cake? Has Vijay ever gagged Sharada and slung her over his shoulder? Has Vijay ever handed Sharada a train ticket and told her to leave the house, unlike a proper gentleman who would escort his wife to her brother's house to avoid scandal, and give her the choice to leave him? Has Vijay ever raised his hand to strike Sharada, the way Raghav did to Pallavi just before he said, "I'll murder you myself?" Or has Vijay decided to murder a child of Sharada's parents without telling Sharada?
Which character is beyond redemption on this show?
Vijay was wrong to tell Raghav to drink his foot-wash, but that was while Raghav insisted on occupying Vijay's home and wouldn't leave him in peace. Vijay tried to make up for that when he humbled himself before Raghav for Mandar's sake, and Raghav just stood there while the older man knelt. So I'm still waiting for Raghav to move further along the track to redemption.
