IMO I think rakhi and mahesh overdid it with the whole depression around sherlyn miscarriage and now with preeta. Not having children isn't even that big of a deal, and with rich families they can easily look for alternative options to having children compared to poorer families.

Completely agree with you on Rakhi & Mahesh. I was like who are these people, the Rakhi & Mahesh of the old wouldn’t be like this.

Sometimes it feels like you are watching a different show watching these people behave so differently from how they used to be.
and so they adopted … because they don’t have any story left (as per the writers) and the quick remedy in EK book is introduce kids or take a leap…
its pretty evident the kid is of Karan’s… the exact age and same attitude as Karan’s
so I guess they really took the path where Karan had a kid out of one night stand…
I think in upcoming storyline both will get attached to the kid.. and suddenly it will be revealed that the kid is real kid of TKL…
Luthras will anyways be happy about it.. but Preeta will be a little distraught… lets see where they want to go with this…

Preeta grew up without her mom so I think when Sona reveals Pihu is her kid, she would not want to separate Pihu & Sona. Think this is the route they will take?
Random observation- I know it has been 4 years, make up lighting etc makes a difference but anyone else feels that Preeta/Shradha looks so overwhelmed these days onscreen?

I totally agree on this… I even made quite a few post on AT thread about it… first the outfits choices were so horrible post second wedding…though Sarees were beautiful but she looked very old in them.. then came sudden obsession with balloon sleeves..the gown she wore for Pritika cocktail party or holi party outfit … man that looked like she was wearing a tent.. so oversized …
and she looked so tiny in that.. atleast post leap they gave her suits back because nobody liked her in sarees really still the original charm has gone.. may be because she cries all the time now… earlier she used to cry but she had fun episodes as well and sometimes just confused expression but post marriage her only expression is crying, crying and more crying..no wonder she is facing complications in pregnancy… itna stress ho to insaan depression me chla jaye…
and all that crying does take a toll on her face..by the way

Those days she looked her best.. hope they fix the lighting/makeup/look whatever or just go back to her old look.

so true as per the plot .. Karan and Preeta are of same age or age group.. Rishabh is a little elder to both of them…
may be she is calling her big sister because preeta is already married whereas Sona was unmarried.. totally illogical but I am grasping at straws here..
