Chapter 5

Shiva felt broken, because he was the reason behind his love being so broken. He doubted his own thought of calling her his love too. Because clearly today he believed he wasn't worth her. And what he did to her was not something he would have done if he loved her, if he trusted her.

Trust. Such small word but is the only thread that keeps any relationship intact. It is like the building block of any relation. You Trust, You love.. Perfect!

And he didn't even trust the one who he loved. How did he even think of telling her that?

But the past cannot be changed, the future is blurred and what can be done on the present?

He realised, the only thing he can do now is repentance. He would win his love back. He would bring Raavi back in his life.

He tried his best in reconciliation with Raavi but she kept saying that she needs time. But Shiva didn't back out. He would try to make her every day special. He would wish her a good morning and goodnight without forgetting, daily.

Somewhere he knew, she appreciated his efforts.

As much as she tried, Raavi couldn't deny the love that was overpowering her anger on Shiva. The little things he did, made her heart flutter. She couldn't believe that he still had that effect on her.

Raavi's phone rang. She checked the caller ID, it was an unknown number. She hesitantly picked up the phone.

"Hello? Hello, Is this Mrs. Raavi Pandya?"

Raavi jerked herself from the trance.

"Yes." She said timorously. "This is Raavi."

She could not bring herself to say, Pandya even if she still legally was. She was still Shiva's wife.

"Mrs. Pandya, I am speaking from City Hospital. There was an accident and we found your number saved on the mobile as 'wife'. Please come as quickly as possible."

"I will be there in 20 minutes." She answered rushed out.

Her heart gave up. Tears rolled down her eyes and Shiva's face started flashing in front of her eyes. She got into the auto and raced to the hospital and saw some policemen.

"Mrs. Pandya? This way, please." One of them said as soon as Raavi nodded.

She walked behind the inspector and reached the ICU and looked inside.

Her heart started beating wildly, her breathing quickened and perspiration started on her forehead and her hands sweated as she saw Shiva lying on the bed with an oxygen mask.

Raavi helped Shiva enter the house, he was walking with difficulty, his one arm around Raavi neck and other shoulder bandaged along with his head.

"Shiva!" Rishita rushed towards them as soon as she saw them. "What happened to him?" She asked to Raavi.

All the family members gathered around the Hall and looked at them in concern.

"He had an accident. The doctor said he needs rest." Raavi said.

"Okay. You take him inside the room, I'll send some soup. He'll feel better." Dhara said and she walked towards the kitchen.

Krish helped Raavi to take Shiva inside the room, but didn't speak a word. It sometimes bother Raavi why has Krish became so silent but then her thought turned back to Shiva when Krish left the room.

She carefully made him sit on the bed.

"Come on lie down." It came more like an order.

"Raavi, mujhe investors se milne jaana tha aaj.."

"Bilkul nahi Shiva!" She shook her head in disbelief. "Dekh apne aapko. You can't ever stand properly. Aur tujhe meeting pe jaana hai? Just cancel that."

"No, I can't!" he almost panicked. "Bahut important hai."

"Ok ok.. calm down." Raavi said, trying to find a way. "Will video conferencing work?"

"It should." Shiva replied liking the idea. "I'll talk to them."

As Shiva talked on the phone, Raavi went to get the soup Dhara mentioned making.

She entered the room after a while when she saw Shiva struggling to wear the shirt.

"What's happening?" She asked confused.

"The video conference is in few minutes, I should be well dressed at least." Shiva said, still struggling.

"Okay," Raavi sighed. "Its not good for you to hurt your elbow while changing. Let me help you."

''Thanks for the concern but I can do that.'' He tried to make his tone normal.

''No, you can't. I can help you. It will just take two minutes."

"Raavi you need not to..."

"Please Shiva, don't hurt yourself."

He sighed. She took it as his yes.

Raavi came near him and took his shirt from his hand. Shiva looked at her and she looked into his eyes.

He still smells so good. She gulped and took his right hand and tried to put the sleeve up without looking down.

He was still looking at her. She was so close to him. He couldn't stop her when she came near him. He could feel she was breathing heavily. He caught her eyes and was not leaving his gaze from them for even a micro second. Her eyes were mesmerizing.

She put his arm in the sleeve and moved his eyes and went to his back side. She looked at his muscular back and thought that promises are made to be broken. She smiled at her thoughts. She settled his collar and came again infront of him. She helped him put his left arm in the sleeve. She was not looking into his eyes now.

He was trying to catch her eyes but she was looking somewhere else. He noticed that she was trying to hide her smile. Why is she smiling? He thought. She was biting her lower lip and closing his buttons all the way up now. He didn't stop her to say he can do that atleast. He liked the fact she was so close to him.

She could feel his gaze on her.

Suddenly, Raavi felt his free hand moving towards her waist. She looked up at Shiva and got lost in his eyes full of desire. Her heart skipped a beat when she realised him coming close, dangerously close.
