Or he is aware that with his financial and mental health, he will not be able to raise a family.

And let's be practical here, the family and society he comes from, he will not be able to sustain and support his family unless he earns bucket load of money. Unless you ask him to change his lifestyle and surrounding totally, so he can live like a normal lower middle class person.

Probably means cannot provide financially, he would have to have a healthy flow of wealth to provide all the requirements of his partner and subsequent off springs, which would get tad expensive. Especially given he is from a well to do family whose social circle is obviously filled with rich people, so he would have to have a strong financial background to maintain that lifestyle for his wife.

I am just understanding his point of view.

And I think he is fair on his own rights. He is not having a relationship because he cannot afford one. For him, he probably doesn't prefer a working independent women because of his ego and financial status, and the women who will not be a problem for him, he just cannot afford now.

Plus majority of the male cannot handle a strong minded women who can speak her mind. Because it is unknown concept to them, and we all know how humans act against something unknown.

That is how the world is, I feel sometimes I need to acknowledge that and try to find reasoning and solutions around this reality only, instead of idealistic scenarios.

I think in almost all scenarios it is good, that this person who is not successful, has a weak mentality, has bad family relationships and is also a mental illness sufferer, it is great that he has this mentality that if he cannot afford to provide financial security, he should have a relationship.

I think that a great boon in a way, as it might have saved so many girls from bearing a relationship with a man like him.

I am not saying I am right, you are wrong. Just in this particular case, I am happy this person has this mentality, no matter how old fashioned and misogynist, is in a way saving some girl.

From whatever little I have read about this guy , he does seem like a guy with mental health issues .. so there's that ..

Now that being said , how many women do you know who would go out with a guy earning less than them ? .. I know one in real life and that's it .. they can be counted on finger tips .. majority of women will always prefer to marry above their status - financial or otherwise.. that's just how it is .. we can sugar coat it to sound politically correct but that will hardly make any difference to ground reality ..

In larger scheme of things , everybody is judged for their worth .. men , women and everyone else in the spectrum .. parameters may vary but everyone is judged and weighed in .. however , what I do agree is that we can try to be polite about it .. but that is not something I would expect from an unstable person like Amir's brother ..

I can’t believe this is the same brother who featured in Mela. I thought it was a third brother who popped out of no where. Damn, he looks completely different. 😟
