MHRW normalizes violence with their slap fests imo. I was the minority that didn’t find jhadu pitayi funny and I don’t like this as well. Maybe I’m extra sensitive about DV as a topic but I don’t like them making a joke out of this. Husband or wife, no one should be beating their s/o( or anyone really)

As it is what happened to Pallavi and what Jaya and Raghav did to Keerti yesterday had me fuming.

Thanks for sharing this. I've hated all the domestic abuse, even when Amma and Raghav hit Keerti before.

Now they've resorted to emotional abuse with Keerti and that's unacceptable no matter how much I like mother and son. Made me really angry yesterday.

Domestic abuse is a sensitive and difficult topic to address in general. It upsets me when I see this sort of thing being shown nonchalantly.

Have you watched the movie Thappad?

I think they are talking about Jaya and Raghav making Kirti’s matrimonial profile without her knowledge and telling her in direct words that they won’t allow her to marry Sunny…

Jaya even told her that she will kill Kirti herself if she didn’t let go of her stubbornness when Kirti threatened to kill herself if married to someone else than Sunny..

I don’t know what Raghav and Amma did because I don’t watch episodes anymore so I can’t comment on that.
edit: I found out and that was so wrong. How can one force someone to get married to somebody? Didn’t like it.

Coming to thappad, unfortunately no. I wanted to see it but I couldn’t. I did see the trailer and know the storyline and I was so impressed. I’m glad she walked out after one slap because tbh that’s where the violence starts and even if it didn’t she made it clear that even one slap shouldn’t have happened. But then I read the comments section which left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm still angry about what I saw Amma do and say in yesterday's episode. Finally Keerti said outright what we've been discussing about her frustration with her family's attitude towards her. No wonder people like Sunny see her as an easy target because of her emotional mess. Her reaction and decision to follow him are so wrong but she clearly hasn't received the right guidance from her family.

Amma's parenting skills need to be addressed on this show. It's faaaaaar from perfect. We've seen how it messed Raghav up and now seeing the effect on Keerti. 😔

Whatever happened to letting her learn her lesson on her own

Why force her and ruin one more person's life the man she'd be made to marry What's his fault

Disown her let her live the life she wants

This is Keerti's teenage rebellion phase she never had one she also had to grow up before her time

After all this why she doesn't go for a court marriage or temple one

Now Sunny flips says he wants her family to be there

These two are so inconsistent

Let her fall be there to help her heal but you can't stop her from running in case she fallls karke
