One thing I read few days back that so thought to share

I think many of u would have already read it that

If you are watching a romantic scene in a movie or show, mute it and play your own horrow music and see if it fits the scene.

If it does, its bad example of love.

Interesting 😆 I have never really done that before- except for the Fitoor song because Hotstar put generic music instead of the song 🤣

Since you are suggesting to mute the scene- I assume dialogues don't come into play. With just the expressions, gestures and maybe the setting- I think I get where you are coming from. If the scene is too generic to fit any song you plug in, then there is nothing unique to the characters or the plot that makes it uniquely that couple. Any two characters, irrespective of their history or journey together would do.

Since I have never tried it before, I am interested to see the responses in this thread, and try it out myself. 😀

I am guessing you are also referring to ShiVi scenes(actually even GauRa. Won't even consider DevTa at this point). We have a lot of lollipop scenes recently 😐 And they probably fit the description you provided.

Honestly I am not really interested in Gaura.

But when I read it the 1st scene which came in my mind was Shiva making Raavi sniff his shirt. & That made me sad that after if I followed this, Shivi will look toxic.

Ya I have been feeling this since Kangan Kaand. Shiva has not been the one I loved since Kangan kaand- he is just not that stupid 😕

There is an interesting articlle Manny posted in the EDT, where KD talks doing scenes he does not resonate with. You should check that out.

In any case, I think tje shirt sniffing scene was more for "comedy" involving Krish(don't ask what was the funny part 😕) as opposed to romance with Raavi. Though Piu is going to post something on dream analysis eventually, so we should reserve our judgement till then 🤣

I don't know- so many lollipop scenes fit this- the atta holi, the anar picking, the reception 🤷‍♀️ It is not only plug any songs, it is like pick any leads from any other serial and the scenes will work.

And this is essentially my problem with generic dori tying, trip and fall, dupatta in the face scenes for ShiVi. It is done to death a million times by other couples. There is no ShiViness to it. You can literally put in any of the romantic songs and it would still make sense 😐

But I am also trying to think of a counter example- I think the "Tu haste hue alag lagta hai" is a good one. I don't think any song fits into it actually- the generic bgm made sense there 🤔 Or maybe Raabta would have fit? Not sure

Editing, writers, bgm team is spoiling the show.

There have been some really amazing scenes which can get fit with any song and will look amazing except then the one they put in the show.

@Bold: They could have made it that scene soo beautiful. They waste the chances they get to show something beautiful and want to show humour in weird way.

Interesting point...I am not familiar with many horror songs..mostly raaz only..and thinking about stuffing t-shirt on her face..it was nothing romantic and horror song perfectly fits..😆

But there are scenes like that of iktara..I think it was a good match there..I didn't feel like horror fits in there..

I feel after the misunderstanding track has begun, the relationship has become toxic and by default it is a bad example of love right now..😆

Ohh my god... Palak did you particularly refer to using horror songs for the scenes 🤣🤣 I didn't even realize and was talking nonsense 🙈🙈🙈

I am so so sorry 😆 I thought you meant just using generic songs.

I should stop answering posts late at night 🤣
