1. Kissing is some sort of bad action that it's considered gaali?😆 I'm pretty proud that it originated in India.

2. Who is doing gaali of Indian culture? The rishis who wrote about kissing in the vedas or Vyasa who composed Mahabharata and wrote in detail about Rishyashringa? You either aren't familiar with the texts or are trolling.

Are you even Indian?

Ha baba. I know they are kids. It looked awkward to me so bol diya. I am not saying that everyone has to feel the same. Let's end it here. Peace.

Jolie and her brother are full grown adults. Mothers and family members give babies kisses everywhere, including tummies. It'd be mighty odd if the same kiss was given by mom to a full grown man? The difference is 6 month old infant vs a grown man. Come on

Saif it seems finished Winchester College and started Bollywood. He didn't do university.

Just to be clear...Winchester "College"...is actually a high school, boarding school to be exact. And I'm not positive he completed it either. Talks like a HS drop-out, his half baked "gyan" and all. Someone whose extremely sensitive about his educational qualifications and tries to compensate for it by sounding "intelligent" but in turn ends up sounding worse. 😆

Angelina Jolie kissed her brother and people questioned them as well. So it's not the norm in the west.

I am not talking about those little pecks on the lips or cheeks that people in western countries do during special occasions.

you are talking about a 6 month and 3,5 year old now. Are you dense, what are you even comparing and insinuating?

I am not comparing. I have no intention to compare. I can't help you if you misunderstand my post.

Someone quoted me and said it is normal in the west for siblings to kiss. So I gave an example that it is not normal in the west. Small pecks on lips and cheeks are normal in the west.

Ancient Indian culture was very progressive. People often focus on sexually explicit books like Kamasutra or erotic carvings, but there is not enough discussion on the nuances and details. There is a lot of emphasis on consent and gender equity in sex. They encourage open discussions and caring about each other's pleasure as well as feelings. They even addressed homosexuality and gender non-conformation.

It was the colonizers who came from close-minded cultures with very regressive views on sex. They were appalled at the native population's openness and violently enforced shame on them. Sadly, even today, some Indian's still live in the shackles of colonial brainwashed shame around sex.

Indian culture by no means was perfect. There were some problematic aspects like caste discrimination, child marriage, and ostracization of widows when the colonizers arrived. The most tragic part is that the movement to reclaim our culture focuses on the problematic aspects rather than the beautiful ones.

So many ancient scriptures describe swayamvaar where women chose their prospective husbands, there are stories of women receiving an education and being trained in arts like dance, warfare, etc. But today some people keep their women locked up, resort to violence if she makes choices, and call it Indian culture. 🤔
