PS...Seriously, keeping aside guys, this applies in real life 🤣 Try to enjoy and do things that make you happy(even in tough situations) The guy who is meant to come for you will not come a moment before or after he is supposed to.

I kniw it is hard in tough circumstances, but I often look back and wish I had worried less and lived more. 🙁 Having a partner is good, but being on your own is a phase that might never come back.

Lekin ye Indian parents ko kaun samjhaye, jahan jaana hai jaana, jo karna hai karna lekin shaadi ke baad😭 Shaadi is the license to enjoy life according to them, and the same mindset has been fed to us all our lives. My mom just wants to tie me to herself but also wants to send me away by getting me married. And I always feel guilty for even thinking about going out of my hometown even for work, let alone travel because she's so paranoid about it and also people around make me feel guilty for thinking like that 🤷‍♀️🥺

Being on your own is a different kind of empowerment I know, but what to do if one feels lonely at every point in life 🙈

Ohh ya I was in the exact same situation. The mindset is bs, by the way. I just waited and waited to do so many things after marriage, and now some of them are bot even possible 😐 So I can only share my experience- it does not really work out as you expect. I am not saying I am unhappy in marriage, but having a partner is an added responsibility. An do you think it stops with marriage- once it is done, Indian parents plan for your career and kids and them thier lives too.

Please travel. I have a single working mother, so I understand how you feel. But 10 years later, you will regret it 😕 Do little things that make you happy even if your mother or family disapproves. I missed out so much of my youth in fear, guilt and trying to be a responsible daughter 😐

The thing is, as you get further caught in the constructs of society, the more difficult it will get to come out. Take the time to travel and meet new people now. Family will find it weird initially and may put up resistance. But it is worth fighting for. Atleast I wish I had the courage to fight 😐
