it’s the opposite here - all of us orientation leaders are annoyingly happy and our freshman look at us with the uttermost boredom 🤣 they’re like just shut up and move on 🤣

it’s different when you’re going to college vs grad school 😆

Yeah... all the new students were shocked when I said, "Don't do the assigned reading, don't try so hard on the homework, just take people's insults with a grain of salt because as a first year student, you will be blamed... use the "But I'm just a first year medical student!" excuse with pride!"

My group was like, "I did not expect you to give me a lecture on bad study habits. You're literally telling me to Sparknote stuff and read study guides!"

... and I was like, "Yeah, buddy, I tried really hard as well... and then I crashed."

I wish I was in undergrad again! That was the life 🥳

I second that experience from a student perspective. I remember my freshman orientation and I was like this is just a waste of my time. 😂😂😂

Just tell me what I really care for. I don't need long sermons on everything that I won't remember and can easily fin on the website😂😂

Or maybe it's just a me thing because I had a same reaction for our new office orientation/tour. Lol I was like I need to work, just tell me where the gym, cafe, breakroom, mailroom, and bathroom is and I'm good😂😂
