The moment I saw those caps from today's episode I was lost....
Remember Raavi's dialogues from when they were painting Gaura's room? Saath saath chalenge tho hum takraathe hi rahenge Shiva, aur iss tarah ek dusre ki rang hum dono pe hi chadega na...
Shiva has dyed himself in Raavi's colors multiple times already, but this is the first time Raavi is being dyed in Shiva's colours....
Blue represents both the sky and the sea, and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, and sensitivity.
Blue is the color of the sky, the color Raavi chooses to dye herself in, the color Shiva himself sees her in...
Let's all go back to that wonderful night of the pag phera, that walk back to her home, the hug, it was a night removed from the rest of their lives, a night where there was only Shiva and Raavi.... A night where they were in a world of their imagination, where Raavi is no longer Maami ki behen ki beti....
Raavi is still searching for sukoon, for khushiyan, at this point. She walks around in the middle of the night searching for peace, unable to sleep..
This is probably the first time we see Shiva hugging Raavi back consciously, the first time he thinks this is my wife, I can give her a hug...
Another moment where blue is a significant colour is on the night of their reception...
Here, Shiva is falling for Raavi.... Here, Shiva still believes in the expansiveness of the sky, he thinks anything and everything is possible between him and Raavi, indicated by his repeated mumblings about wanting to talk with her about this, he is open to the idea of them as an entity now....
Coming to the current track though...
However not all blues are serene and sedate. Electric or brilliant blues become dynamic and dramatic, an engaging color that expresses exhilaration.
This is the Raavi of Shiva's imagination, a creature too dynamic for someone as grounded as him to handle, too out of his league... Shiva seems to forget that for all of Raavi's dreams of the sky, the sea is blue too...
Raavi hides her depths behind a facade of calmness, unlike Shiva, who either expresses exactly what he feels or chooses to don his poker face... I think all of us have discussed quite often how Raavi's actions and her words (or the precious few thoughts we get to see) are in continuous mismatch... Raavi contradicts herself all the time....
The color brown affects the mind and body by creating feelings of wholesomeness, stability, and peace. Brown provides feelings of organization, history, and connection, as well as cozy feelings of relaxation and wholesomeness. Brown is a stable and grounded color that is believed to help you feel like you fit in and belong.
The possessiveness in the way he holds her in these frames... The way his eyes wander all over her face as if he has every right to, because, why not?The belonging, to these caps make me want to hold my breath and not let go.... I think someone had come up with this phrase for the type of person Shiva is, pyaar ka bookha. As someone who would fall in the same category, I would say that people of our ilk simply cannot form a new relationship with someone unless there is the offer of complete acceptance for who we are, we cannot stand a lack of genuinity, compromises....
This ends up with us having smaller circles of friends out of personal choice more often than not, in waiting for that one person who would accept us for us completely as opposed to compromising for the sake of letting a relationship work... To us, love is not that warm, fuzzy feeling, love is belonging, love is in being able to say that this person here, this person is mine.
And this is not just in romantic scenarios... My mother, my friend, completely so... And in return for that feeling of belonging you give me, I will give you a love so unconditional.... It does not make me blind, it simply makes me say, I know your mistakes, but I love you still....
Here Raavi has broken her vows to stay away from Shiva... So Shiva says, you have come to me of your own free will despite swearing not to, I do not care for your reasons and explanations, you are here now, and you are mine.... Take my love and do what you will with it, but take it...
Raavi still looks confused, still hesitant, but it no longer matters to the Shiva here because he has dyed her already in his colours, and now he will not let her wash it away...
This is the first time we see Raavi coloured in the browns of Shiva's earthiness, and, hopefully, this foreshadows Raavi choosing to come back to him of her own free will as opposed to any other reason....
PS I am not raising my hopes too high because PS has a bad habit of making phuski bombs... Also, I am truly worried if this was intentional or if they just thought it would look good😂
PPS I haven't been watching the recent episodes, only watching clips on YouTube and stuff, so correct me if I have the context wrong somewhere...
PPPS last one, I swear... I have a holiday today!!! 😆
