First of all I liked the actor who is very good and I feel this character is going against the very morals of society and on top of that he is a journalist who knows the legalities of forced marriages.

Now coming back grave injustice is done to the character Malini ..imagine urself in her place ..what was her mistake ..she was ignorant of first marriage of her husband. And now her husband has decided to discard her because he now loves his first wife and he wants to move on ..can we imagine such situations being glorified on tv .

I see other shows like ghum hai kisse ke pyar me and believe me atleast that show has some morals ..Sai taking moral stand even though Virat didnt marry Paakhi and krpkab where Dev inspite of being best husband has his flaws of being a mummy's boy and he is being scurtnized for his unintentional mistakes .I mean what we are witnessing in this show is sickening.

How is Aditya suitable for Imlie..tomorrow he may go for another girl and Imlie doesnt has any feelings for Malini nor she has any self respect for herself..and now they are unnecessarily making Malini negative so Aditya and Imlie can happily live their unethical relationship. 🤢

I think viewers should formally complain against such stories.

Enough is enough .

Because for the writers - ignorance is bliss

They just focus on making Imli mahan and all her manipulations are forgiven.

Aditya didn't became bigamist the day he fell in love with Imlie, he became a bigamist the day he married Malini.

And what is this suppose to mean? That Aditya can do what he likes without thinking about the consequences?

Ofcouse Imlie's future is important too but didn't she choose to stay in her forced marriage voluntarily

OMG I just shared my opinion😆 ...and where did I blame Imlie ..I am talking about concept here ..they could have shown Malini gradually knowing about Adityas first marriage and herself getting out from this marriage. I signed up this show because I wanted to see how Aditya will help Imlie to stand for her rights and help her in empowerment and to achieve her dreams.

Otherwise u all are free to like ur ideal lovestory ..

Edited by DT as comparison with other shows is against the forum rules

I don't know if you are aware of the background story of the original show .Leena Ganguly, the writer of IK , wrote this story as one of her assistant has similar incident in her life .She adopted the theme and added many more incidents to make it a perfect teledrama .

I didnt knew this blasphemy rule so very sorry 🤣 But most of them didnt got my point ...I am not against Imlie Adi love story ..just dont justify forced marriage concept ..their love story could have been moved forward in a good way if they have worked on the script sensibly.

Turning a positive character into villian and undoing all the progression is not done.

Who decides the moral of society? Yes Aditya did wrong with Malini he has apologized multiple times she had an option to take legal action against him he would not have opposed her he was ready to face consequences as he has stated many times. At first in his anger and pride he committed bigamy but he was loyal to his marriage not commiting adultery. After revealing truth he was clear he wants to validate the first marriage and fulfill all responsibilities. Malini was given choice to act on the wrong done. She should have sent him to jail but no she decided to play matchmaker gave all kinds of speeches about giving imlie her haq Mithi her justice and then started playing games. Aditya and Imlie has always admitted to their wrongdoings and always ready to face consequences. Now what barking again and again how Aditya and Imlie have destroyed norms of society will not solve anything we need to move past that. If Malini is feeling betrayal then take action once and for all and move forward instead of playing bechari card and playing these vamp games. She is highly educated professor knows legality but still can't help herself .

Morals are not decided.....you either have them or you don't.

And yes aren't people screaming on top of their lungs that Aditya and Imli should be facing their deeds! Time and again it's being said that Malini should be dragging this cheater couple to court. But the writers don't want this .... see....they are ssshhh about this. They just keep showing Imlie doing some mahanta - latest being the hypnotism rescue. And now they have decided to elevate Imli by making Malini grey

And Imli played the bechari card for 200 episodes

..so why complain if Malini is doing it now

From the very first episode Adi was attracted to Imlie, you could see it. However he told her he was about to be married and she even found his girlfriend Malini a gift. She told her mother about it too, when she was forced to marry Adi, thus saving his life. Although Adi protested about the illegal marriage, he did accept his responsibilities subconsciously, as when he tried to leave her at a hostel and nakli nanny's goon tried to drag her back to PD, he immediately stopped it and called her his wife. So on one level he had already accepted Imlie.

Had he really wanted to get rid of Imlie and cancel their marriage he could easily have done it in Delhi, but he didn't, so the need and sense of rightness was there underneath. He guiltily made himself tell Malini that he and Imlie shared a relationship but she over-reacted then begged him to say it wasn't true, and everything went downhill from there. He felt a sense of duty to Malini and also was stubborn about the second marriage as he didn't like being thwarted by the villagers, who later apologised to him. At that point he could also have cancelled the marriage but he didn't.

So it is not fair to blame either Adi or Imlie, as they were swept up by unexpected events they did not know how to deal with, and worked it out as they went along, well or badly. Adi admitted later that he realised his second marriage was a mistake, that it would not have lasted as he was a friend to Malini, not a lover, she was a comfortable companion who did not stir him that way at all, but it took Imlie's presence and his marriage to Malini to realise that. The clues were there in lots of episodes, such as him not being jealous of Malini's male friends, and them always choosing the same things. He also wanted to marry her to spite the snobbish arrogant mother Anu.

Again, none of this is Imlie's fault. Malini could have accepted this - she must have realised they were not compatible but has no depth of mind to work it out, just wants the princess-like fairytale. All her reactions after marriage made that evident. So don't praise Malini and feel sorry for her as she doesn't deserve it. Any sympathy you might feel for her plight has been washed away by her sickening behaviour since. She even hid the fact that her mother had Adi beaten up!

Any woman in that situation would maintain her self-respect and just get a divorce settlement and leave with dignity, but she believes in punishing others instead.

Yes this is fiction, but it does mirror real life. I could cite real examples where people have made a mistake in marriage, married the wrong person out of a sense of duty etc, but these get sorted out with understanding, not with spite.
