The worst is when they're like, "Hey listen, so I like you, but I know you don't, and that's honestly my problem and not yours, let's be normal"- because initially I'm like, okay, he's being cool about it. Then I try to distance myself to make the whole setup a little awkward, toh cribbing about 'we said we'd be normal why are you overreacting' and if I stay the same then having to listen to 'jokes' about being friendzoned.
