In terms of a divorce track that might be interesting and more palatable (this is inspired from all the divorce related stories, novels, fanfictions, comics, real life scenarios I've encountered in my life)

—After divorce, Raavi is disheartened to see everyone in town diminish her worth because she is a divorced woman. Even Shiva doesn't spare a glance in her direction as he passes by her in the market. She is no longer praised for her beauty, and this in turn makes her grow and mature. She decides to ignore all the whispers. Teaming up with Anita, she tries to set up her own business (partly to distract herself and partly to prove to Shiva that she is worth more than what he could've imagined)

—When trying to fund for her new business, she realizes no one is willing to give her any loans. Rishita doesn't have the money, and now that she left the family, Jaanu and Moti-ben don't see Raavi's worth in bringing the Pandya family down. Just when she is about to lose hope, Shiva comes and brings her the money:

"Here's the alimony," Shiva dropped the bag of money in front of her with a sneer. Although he wanted to do nothing with her, especially after she insulted him in that manner, he couldn't argue with his Dhara Bhabi.

Raavi glares at him, "I don't need your alimony," she picks up the bag, fully intending to return every last bill. She couldn't start her business with this type of money. Money that Shiva gave her out of pity...

"Are you sure?" his eyes roamed her house. Every last word he said was still ringing in her ears. Back then he suggested she was a characterless girl, and now he was suggesting she couldn't make it on her own.

"I don't need your pity," she swallowed as she remembered all the rejections she faced. Because her Mausi-Ma had a history of failed loans, and they had nothing notable to their name, no one was willing to give her any type of money. Even her friends couldn't help her during this time.

As much as she wanted to push him away, she wasn't dumb. This money was critical. She needed this for her business. She needed this to prove to him that she was nothing like he imagined her to be.

"Loan," she bit out. "I'll only accept the money if you loan it out to me," that way, when she pays him back, she doesn't need to feel as though her self-respect was compromised.

He stared at her for a long minute, and she couldn't tell what was going on in his head. But suddenly, his lips curled upward, "That... that is probably the best idea you had so far."

She didn't know it then... but that was the true end of the war they fought against each other.

—Without her intending to, Shiva somehow becomes a big part of helping her open her business. He points her to contacts, he explains legal jargon of contracts (slightly unwillingly in the beginning), and then he helps her advertise. The family silently watches with pride, somewhat hopeful that those two would reconcile and find their happy place.

—Slowly, they begin to talk more and more. First on the streets as they run errands, later in their respective stores (sometimes Shiva visits and other times Raavi visits Shiva), and much later through cell phone when they realize they had much more in common then they originally thought. Throughout the process of this friendship/beginnings of romance, they begin to regret their words, but are unsure as to how to apologize because they remember just how painful that day was.

—Eventually, both of them decide to apologize, formally, on the one year anniversary of their divorce, and when they realize what the other is doing, they break out in laughter, not expecting the other was feeling the same way. They apologize to each other, this time finding it easier because they know just how much they respect each other, and afterwards, Raavi suggests they start anew, and she warns Shiva to properly court her as she jokingly says she is, "Somnath's Most Beautiful." Shiva can't help but smile.

—They decide to re-marry, and on the day of their marriage, Shiva sends her note, promising her of a future filled with happiness and warmth, just as she wanted. And finally, at the very end, he tells her she doesn't need to pay back the loan... that it was her money from the start.

This won't happen because it doesn't include enough Dhara and co. But it might actually redeem all the torture I went through this week 💔 I can't make this into a full-length story though... don't have the time 😆

This is so wonderful Avi♥️♥️

You should have a thread where you can post all your small ideas plus drabbles. Love reading them.

Don't want to miss any of your write ups

I wouldn’t mind watching Raavi and Shiva (individually) coming up with ways to sabotage the plans made by the family to unite them. This leads to them finding themselves in each other’s company in ways they never expected. Each sabotage connects to a childhood memory and ends up resulting in a civil conversation. The conversations soon shift from civil to meaningful. They find reasons to laugh, reminisce and are forced to face uncomfortable questions as well. There is of course a slight competition as they challenge one another to see who can sabotage the plan better 😉

They begin texting each other regularly as well. Shiva mentions what Krish and Rishita are secretly planning while Raavi tells him about what she overhears Gaumbi and Dhara whispering in the market.

There comes a time the family finally gives up and stops this mission, believing they have failed. With no more plans to sabotage, ShiVi realize that they no longer have a reason to see one another and have no excuse to have the conversations that were slowly becoming the highlight of their days. Both are left unnerved by this development and have no idea how to proceed.

Of all the crazy things that can happen, I wouldn’t mind something like this 😆 But I promise, it won’t happen 😆

At this point, I find Shivi like a completely ordinary couple who were married and they hate each other. Their spark is lost. Honestly, in fiction, I am not a huge fan of simplistic conversations and sweet gestures. I was as it is waiting for the sweet conversations so that I could move on 😆

For me, it has to be a roller coaster ride for the Romance to Click! That's Why, despite Gaura sharing the chemistry of comfort, they never tied me to the show. Neither does a neighbouring show where this strange IPS officer is having these peculiar romantic conversations.

Anyway, there are many OG fans from whom I have heard about the simplicity of the show. I might say it is not my cup of tea. I watched PS for a few episodes and generally stuck around for Shivi while liking the overall show. Somehow, I am very disappointed! For me, Shivi was the Haldi scene where Raavi is misunderstanding Shiva while he conceals the piece of Ghada!

There was something about Shivi that was endearing and lovely!

I am all in for angst, but something has to make sense! It doesn't anymore.

Shivi is destroyed for me with all this drama of Shaadi-Divorce-Adjustment-Compromise!

I am not able to type much, but I hope it makes sense. I don't want to see a Gaura like a couple in the process of falling in love with a fighting angle.

Where is that Shiva who had held Dev’s collar and shown him the mirror? Where?

Where is that Shiva who would rather get hurt himself than thinking of injuring Raavi even when he hated her?

I can't recognise Shivi!

Couldn’t agree more! I will occasionally enjoy watching a movie or a breezy show that falls in the typical rom com category but for a show I am invested in, I need a certain spark and intensity to keep me hooked.

@Bold That will forever remain the scene that defines ShiVi. If I had to pick three scene off the top of my head, I would pick that one, the one where Shiva is staring at the gift meant for Dev and the scene where he hugs Dhara after kicking Raavi out of the house. There was something so beautiful in being able to search for a deeper meaning in each interaction!

Honestly, the spark has been lost for a long time. And the current track isn’t angst. At least not how I view angst. There is no longing, yearning and depth. It’s just lots of loud screaming drama.

I think my problem is that I had a very different vision of ShiVi. One that is completely different from the OG and I guess is also different from what the cvs had in mind. I’m just watching to see where things go. But other than that, my interest is pretty much at zero.

Where is that Shiva who was shaken when he had brought Raavi down, preventing her from hanging on the noose?

Where is that Shiva who would rather die himself than letting anything hurt Raavi!

This was even when they weren't in love. Where is that Shiva who would kill anyone who has hurt Raavi?

This unrecognisable a****le husband Shiva and the asinine compromising Raavi are beyond recognition.

Where was Raavi’s self-respect when she was crying about her marriage to Dev or when she was sobbing in one corner after her character was assassinated by Rishita?

And Dude, what business Dev has to jump on to become an emotional Husband to Raavi?

I’ll lose it if Dev goes to visit Raavi at Maami’s place to convince her to come back 😆

Couldn't have said it better.

Shivi were not a normal couple and that's what got me hooked.

They had a certain depth, a certain charisma.each scene had so many subtle layers, especially the pre wedding ones.and the chemistry of KDice just amplified it.

Even though I am still invested in the epsiodes, liking this track to some extent, I can't help but think how much better their story could have been !

Even if they work or adjust in this marriage, Shivi shall never be the same for me. They had a spark that was lost long back. Where is that Raavi who would just be irritable and spite Shiva deliberately.
