I know! The way everyone was discussing the south version, I was sooo excited! Even with the insecurities and breakdown track! But they completely went ITV style.

Typical ITV route. Ruin a good story, make characters break their character arc. What are the writers smoking??

Ohh man have they ruined it or what Seen only the OG Tamil version- what soulful conversations. The heart of the story was the Store. Everyone used to circle around it. You belived that you were seeing a story of normal middle class people because the way they thought, the way they spent, the way they lived all was in alignment with their financial state.

And this was NOT boring drama, mind you. Think back to the ShiVi scene where Shiva shares with Raavi that he chooses to be and dress a certain way. No extravagant set up, no glarish bgm. That was the kind of conversation that happens 80-90% in the OG- and with ALL characters, not just ShiVi.

This is exactly it!! She’s said the same thing. She doesn’t recognize this version.

I watched the OG as well. Unfortunately, I don’t understand the language but you can tell from the body language. It was heart-warming to watch. I was so excited when this show started.

I love to rant 🤣 Prema joins in sometime too 😆

But we got admonished for constantly bringing up the OG and bringing down the positivity of EDT, so I control my rants 🤣

A lot of the audience probably loved the last episode. And I can feel the frustration when we go on an anti-Raavi rant. So I am trying to scale back a bit 😆

Maybe we should have a separate Raavi/PS frustration thread in the MF so that we can rant peacefully 🤣 Is that against forum rules though? 🤔
