Why so much toxicity

Seriously, being in the last weeks or two of such a iconic series, what they are doing now is just showing toxicity and negativity all around.. They could have just wrapped soon and shown redemption of characters , but here the list of "villians" is just increasing not even sparing the child characters. Couldn't sit through episode today seriously
