And I god hope that dialogue of Shiva rubbing off on her wasn't in a romantic sense in some twisted way.

It’s a different thing she was lied to by Dhara and Gautam and cheated by Dev which she did not deserve at all. The marriage fiasco made her calmer else she is as junglee as Shiva IMO.
