I mentioned the same thing in my post in the 9 th August episode discussion thread. 😅😂Copy pasting it here.

The root cause of all the problems in Devakshi's life is undoubtedly Ishwari :- be it her controlling, interfering & manipulative ways or her toxic upbringing of Dev as a result of which he is unable to balance his relationships with others. No arguments about that. Take away Ishwari & also Dev's toxic upbringing by her from the equation and we have a man who is smart, intelligent, good hearted, loving, caring, responsible, respectful etc., most of qualities we can expect from a good husband. I am sure most of us loved the pre leap Dev for all his good qualities inspite of his flaws & his greatest weakness ( & also his strength) - his mother.

Ishwari is too much involved in her son's life, she needs to let go & find something to occupy her time & divert her attention. She has such a thick skin that even if Dev makes it clear to her that she is interfering too much into his personal life, it will bounce off her. Hopefully the cvs end this track soon & start a more progressive track for Ishwari after she realizes ( If at all she realizes it.😅) how her obstinacy of having her own way & her interfering & controlling nature is causing unhappiness & misery in the lives of her loved ones. Maybe she can involve herself in some social work or even better, the makers can start a parallel story for Ishwari meeting someone of her age who is at the same crossroads of life as herself & connecting with him & maybe marrying him for companionship/ love. ( This is just me thinking of a permanent solution to the Issuworry problem in Devakshi's life. End result - Ishwari / Devakshi / kids all happy in their respective lives.😜🤣) This can actually be made into such a beautiful, progressive & interesting track - a new colour of love in the life of the Dixit family if the makers really want to make this show relatable & not "drama for trp' driven .

Though I like Dev overall but I liked his character only before breakup and after reunion of Devakshi post leap.

Ishwari is so idle in her life that she has nothing to do in her life rather than nurturing Dev. They made Ishwari again nagging because of the new kid's entry. Before that, it was little (like not letting Dev have Sonakshi's food)

In less than a decade of DevAkshi relationship they had been seperated for 7 yrs while Sona was pregnant with Suhana. She took Dev back or she went back to this silly marriage-family for just 1 yr, had another child shubh but nothing has really changed.

Dev is still a weak son under his mother's sacrifices, and feels so much obligated. He doesn't know first thing about being married, to be responsible husband is not just providing for family, its to support your spouse in marriage-family. Never be rude to parents, respect them but abv all respect your marriage and spouse. He just can't be assertive to his mother. The whole story is unfathomable in 2021. this show aired in 2018? and makers are showing early 1900 type story tracks.
