Ya drama, entertainment and all has increased over time..and purists would definitely find this useless.

They can always watch the videos later on YouTube.

But earlier seasons of Idol also had a small part that stinged. Observed it for at least 3 seasons..aage ke seasons me aisa hua to pata nahi.

They had theatre rounds and jodi rounds and they were full of backstage drama. Contestants rivalry, misunderstandings, fights, their attitude..so much was shown. How much of it was true God knows. It was like exploiting their emotions coz we know a lot happens when so many youngsters from different backgrounds compete for a trophy.

Thankfully it was somewhat restricted to those rounds..and sometimes they showed good times too.

So onscreen drama is at least better than that.

I think you are referring to the Vicky Lalwani IV of the Indian idol 1 contestants. Vicky is very negative in his approach when he does interview. He wants them to bad mouth II.
They all sounded like a case of sour grapes. Looks like none got an invite to the grand finale. I am a bit surprised that Abhijeet Sawant didn’t get an invite, unless I missed that. Any time the past contestants tried to say something positive Vicky cut them off.
I couldn’t believe Prajakta was making all those comments. Her love story with Rahul Vaidya was a part of II 1.

My observation exactly and how conviniently they forgot specific love story angles between Rahul-Prajakta, Chang-Dipali etc. There was plenty of drama than too. I feel this season has more camaraderie, friendship, rooting for each other, lots of love and support amongst each other. WHere u did not see that type of connection b4. I am sure it has alot to do with the long drawn out season.

Reasons for better camaraderie, friendship and support ...

Long drawn out session, or not, may be this year's bunch are more matured human beings

It also helps, when the group collectively is by miles, more talented than earlier ones

What I didn't like particularly was their answer on whether they will watch the finale..don't know how it sounded..but wasn't pleasant to read

I agree.
They were criticizing and making fun of the same show that gave them the stage to show their talent and gain popularity. They truly sounded like a bunch of sour grapes. If they were invited to the grand finale then the tone would have been different.

Long drawn out season definitely helped. Also..lot many duets. So many times they were performing with eachother and not against. This may have helped to develop a better understanding among all.

Covid ki wajah se situation bhi aisi hai ..they all r confined to the hotel and sets..can't move out freely or meet many people in their free time. So they just have eachother..bond to form hona hi tha
