Yet again, Shiva had asked her to leave him and to give up on the facade of a relationship they were in. Naturally, her heart wanted no part in his quest for a separation but her mind knew that there was no point in running around in circles around a man who would never make her the center of his universe. As soon as the yatra had ended, Shiva had left in the middle of a heated conversation between the two, as usual. But he had made it quite clear that he wanted nothing to with her, and so with a heavy heart she packed up all her things and quietly slipped out of the house.
Meanwhile, Shiva had visited his tree in an attempt to make sense of the triad of emotions he had been feeling. He kept volleying between pain and anger, not much sense seeping through his thoughts. He desperately wanted to let her go - to let her live the life that she had always dreamt of. But every time the thought crossed his mind, a dull ache would settle in his heart and then soon be replaced by rage. And it was that anger that he would project onto her - the assumption that she would leave him one day or another. He knew he was being incredibly selfish with her but he couldn't help himself. He needed her in front of his eyes but he needed her away from him a well. After a while, he figured that there was no point in reflecting on the mess of emotions he was carrying and he left to go back home.
Raavi had tearfully been walking down the streets of Somnath towards her MaasiMa's house, rolling the suitcase behind her sluggishly. She hadn't expected to meet anyone on the way but knowing her luck, she met just the person she was dreading.
Shiva stopped at the sight of the chipkali carrying her luggage down the street and felt air being knocked out of him mercilessly. So, she had finally decided to give up and leave him for good. She had finally give into the devilish thinking of her MaasiMa and was leaving the junglee gawaar. As always, he channeled the pain that he was feeling into anger and stormed towards her - the fury evident in his eyes.
Raavi faltered backwards, her heart not being able to withstand another heated confrontation. She hoped that he would just let her be but he had never done that before, why start now?
"Kya karahi hai?" Shiva asked, trying to keep his anger under control.
"Tune kaha na jaa, toh jaa rahi hoon MaasiMa ke ghar Shiva," Raavi replied while talking a few steps to the side of him and forwards. He sidestepped her and blocked her pathway.
"Tu kahin nahi jayegi, samjhi tu? Chal ghar vapas," he gritted out, forming fists with his hands to avoid gripping onto her wrists.
"Bas bahoth hogaya Shiva, main aur nahi karsakti ye tere saath. Main jaa rahi hoon toh bas jaa rahi hoon," Raavi replied, tears streaming down her cheeks from her cold-hearted admission.
Instead of replying, he walked backwards until there was some distance in between them and pulled out a matchbox from his pocket. Raavi watched him in confusion as he struck the match and let it fall on the ground. The fire instantly caught on from a few drops of oil that had spilled from passing by vehicles. Her confusion turned into horror and she screamed, "Shiva tu ye kya karaha hai? Pagal hogaya hai,"
"Haan hogaya hoon pagal lekin tu Maami ke ghar nahi jayegi samjhi, tu vapas chal rahi hai. Aur agar tune phir se jaane ki baat ki, toh ye toh sirf trailer tha - pure somanth mein aag laga dunga aur ye shiva pandya ka vada hai," he shouted while walking around the fire and grabbing onto her hand. She wasn't going anywhere but back home with him.
