Why do women in Hindi soap operas....

....dress up and wear jewellery at home, looking like they are heading to a wedding but in fact they are just cooking dinner?

😂 Not to mention when they cook with open hair 😂

This is a drawback of shooting a daily Show.. When you have to get the scene ready for the next episode then you can't keep removing makeup and again applying it.. Takes hours and it's just a way of saving time

And sleeping time

They dress up for you, ungrateful people.

So that if they have to go out suddenly they can go immediately don't have to take time getting ready

Go to bed with full makeup (have no dermatologists to tell them the side effect of not removing makeup before nodding off) and voila when they wake up there is not a hair out of place, not a single crease on the designer saree and not a speck of makeup smudged.

The attire and jewellery mainly to showcase.sometimes they get sponsored too.

The make-up is to appeal to the audience especially housewives who don't get time to dress up in every day lives. All this is really far from reality. But it is good to be in fairyland at least during watching the soap.

The same happens in movies too. Maybe due to over the top nature of serials they get more attention.
