Meera did the right thing!

I don't understand why is everyone suddenly trash talking and antagonising Meera saying Bala tali, keep her away from the sakhuja family etc as if she has done something gravely wrong?

If somebody slaps your father and you are told that the groom's family was demanding dowry how would you react? Here she only broke the alliance nothing more nothing less. It was Angad who lied about his financial status and job to his family and everyone else, yes he tried to tell her but never got the chance moreover it seems like Meera knew it already but was waiting to here it from him.

Yeah Meera acted on whatever info she got from her dad. I can't fault her for now. Hope Aapa somehow figures it out. She knows about KK not wanting to marry Meera in that fam.

True I agree with you. A daughter would enraged seeing her father being slapped by someone and on top of that KK manipulated her. So her anger is justified, but her spilling Angad's secret like that was wrong. In her anger she created a lot of problems for him.

But atleast now Angad will have everyone's support. That's something good.

What problems she created for him? She actually saved him the trouble of having to lie till the end. Atleast the Sakhuja's know what their actual situation is and they can work on it. Angad created problems for himself by keeping the news of his jobless a secret. Had he told them then they wouldn't have pushed him for the wedding at all hence sparing the alliance a little longer.

It's not that I don't like her because she bombarded into Sakhuja's and yelled at them. Even I was very angry at the father, he needs sessions anger management. But my problem was with the way she gathered a whole lot of crowd in front of the house and even brought Angad's truth out which he himself had to tell the family.

And secondly she completely believed her dad and thought that Sakhuja's are asking for dowry. Like I hope she soon comes to know about her dad's disinterest too in the alliance.

P.s before someone asks me what I would have done. I would have atleast not gathered the whole mohalla in front of the house.

I won't say she actively gathered them. it was more like she didn't care about it at that time as from her pov her father was slapped and humiliated in front of the house help so moholla=house help, I'll say.

Again her believing her father, whom she has known her entire life over the Sakhuja's is understandable to me. Plus her father hasn't given her any reason so far to doubt him while she herself saw the FIL slapping her father. I'll also add that she didn't immediately react to the slap neither she said anything to them. It was only after she had spoken to her father that she reacted.
