Don't know if this belongs in the EDT or not, but a few days ago, I was trying to understand Shiva and Raavi... why Shiva always had a visceral reaction to Raavi commenting on Shiva when he doesn't care what the rest of the town thinks of him. He's had this reaction even before their wedding. When she sprays perfume on him, he literally stopped his bike and tossed her off. He didn't roll his eyes or ignore her actions like he ignored Rishita. I know they shared a closer relationship for him to take the liberty to do this, but I always thought there was something deeper in his actions...
This is where I go off on a complete tangent... but,
I've always imagined Raavi and Shiva to be good friends, perhaps even best friends before his father's death. They always had an unspoken understanding with each other pre-marriage. He was the one to understand that she would take his words about throwing herself in front of a truck seriously, he was the one who watched her every emotion during their marriage, he was the one to understand what scared her. It seemed like he wasn't learning anything new (until all the MU's happened), but just that they continued their relationship from where they left off pre-marriage. Plus, she always defended Shiva's character in front of Maami. She might be the nicest person in the world, but defending someone who's left her in pain every time is a little hard to believe unless she shared a relationship with him that transcended what we know of her.
Shiva definitely knows just how nice and sweet Raavi is. Which is why despite being related to Maami, he is much softer in his approach and has somehow made her the center of his world while growing up. But I think after his father's death, he shut off everyone in that family, including Raavi which broke her heart. This girl lost her parents, and losing out on a best friend probably crumbled her enough to never expect love from a relationship. Also with all your ideas that Raavi wanted to be a Pandya bahu... in my little head cannon I formed for myself, I always imagined it to be so she can salvage whatever friendship she had with Shiva in the past. She craved to be Dhara because she knew out of everyone, Shiva loved and respected Dhara the most, and as Shiva's bhabi, she could win that little emotion back from Shiva.
She didn't even consider Dev as a potential match until the juice incident, which makes me wonder what Raavi thought of him before that. Shiva certainly would've bullied her pre-juice, but she seemed to only notice Dev after the juice... And during the wedding, she was most focused on Shiva, after Dev. Wanting him to accept him as his bhabi. Wanting him to sit down right next to him... I dunno, maybe I am thinking too hard to come up with a salvageable reason as to why she wants to "reset" their relationship... because she wants to go back to the past while he wants to move onto their future...
This is so well thought out Avi Too bad the writers are hell bent on erasing their past. What you have written above is so beautiful and has so much potential as a storyline ❤️
Ugh it breaks my heart when I think about what they are losing out on 😭
