So i was watching old episodes and mohit refers to shivani as aatya which is i believe the marathi equivalent of bua. But how come virat/sai call her bua n not aatya then ? And hasnt mohit referred to mansi as bua and not aatya? Why the difference. Both shivani n mansi are his paternal aunts right...

Why dont they pay attention. Ya toh hindi mein bolo ya marathi mein, what is this khichdi?!

Shoddy writing and lack of attention to details..

I am sure kannada version will use our weaknesses for their strength..

Makers really need to up their game. Regional version may eat up audience and also it's looking grand

How would regional show eat up Hindi show audience? I don’t know kannada. So I watch Hindi version only. So many are there who are non Kannadigas and hence watch Hindi version.

Moreover Hindi version is 260 episodes old while kannada version began much later I think.

So Hindi show audience won’t get lured by regional version. May be some who knew the language may prefer but that hardly makes a difference.

Yes. They should have continued with Aatya. When they could use vahini consistently why can’t they use aatya also ?

I get confused why they use Bhabhi even. Karishma and Sunny call Sai Bhabhi while Mohit calls her vahini.

But sunny and karishma may not be Maharashtrian toh unka yoh phir bhi chalta hai....but Sairat toh show mein Maharashtrian hai. karishma toh definitely isn't marathi mulgi.

As much as i love when Ayesha says "haan nahi toh" - that phrase seems so north indian. Doesn't fit with the Maharashtrian vibe of Sai Joshi. In contrast i loved it when she called the sardarji cab driver bhauu and even said - samajhla. It sounded very natural....

see it depends on confidence with language .. Mohit should call atya and vahini consistently.. it does not matter if Sunny n Karishma call Bua and bhabhi ..

Sai calls pp .. pakhi didi because she connects her more as virat’s friend but Karishma calls both of them by bhabhi .. as she connects both of them as jethanis .

Mohit should stick through with marathi words ..

I'm half Maharashtrian and I can say that there's a royal butchering of the Maharashtrian culture on this show. Ayesha has a very North Indian way of speaking Hindi, they could've atleast added some more Marathi words in her dialogues. Niel and the rest of the cast are better off because of Marathi background or being from Mumbai. There's no sense in calling Mansi and Shivani as "Bua" when Bhavani, Ashwini and Sonali are "Kaku". They showed a very North Indian style of Holi being celebrated but didn't even care to show a festival like Vat Savitri, which is the Marathi equivalent of Karwachauth. Imagine how much of drama that track could have generated😆 We really need to keep every logic aside while watching the show

To add to this relationship muddle:

Sai calls Samrat "dada" and Patralekha "Pakhi didi". How will that work? Doesn't that make Samrat and Patralekha brother and sister, relationship-wise? Or will both Virat and Sai start calling Patralekha "Vahini" after Samrat's entry?

Disclaimer:

My question is not meant as disrespect to any form of relationship or any ethnic group. Am a mixed breed so am dumb in every language so please forgive my ignorance in these "relationship" matters. 🤪 It's all pure curiosity! 😊
