It's a ritual that they do in north

Mostly in the pilgrimage cities like haridwar and others, Somnath may also be included. It is celebrated in the month of Saawan only, for worshipping Lord Shiva, holy water is fetched from holy rivers like Ganga to do shiv abhishek.. that's what they are doing here.
