Yeah, I didn't make that connection either. Plus it wasn't executed well. He got injured because of crap Mami said and he just held the glass so tight that it broke. It would have been better if he heard what Mami said, had flashback of the way he pushed Raavi, felt bad, looked at glass in his hand and they zoomed in on him squeezing the glass so it breaks. That would have been full circle. This seemed more like a coincidence than anything else.

It is not this track. Kanna gets arrested for a SMS scandal involving another college student, a girl but was implicated by a fellow college mate who has a grudge against him. Kanna gets arrested and that’s when Kathir breaks down in front of Mullai.

This Janu and Shweta (Kirti, here) track has nothing to do with Kathir’s breakdown and Mullai supporting him.
