Yes Shirin, I too am happy that she refused to run away. Running away is never a proper solution to anything. In this regard Ani is wrong to expect her to run away. Bondita has been shown quite upfront. She told truth to everyone in panchayat also and accepted her punishment, now she can't run away. She would rather refuse it on the face in front of everyone. I guess she still would have option to do that.

But again I don't think she should have put Ani in a tough spot. I mean he really can't say anything when everything is against her. Its not about his trust. The matter is in panchayat which needs solid proof. If she wanted to save herself she had a lot of different ways to do that. He can't stand up for her the way he did in childhood, and he doesn't need to. He educated her and made her independent, she shouldn't have expected him to side with her the way he always did 8 years back. The onus shouldn't be on Ani to tell that she is innocent or not a spy. How can he when she herself admitted everything in front of everyone?

I had expected this to be Ani's first move actually... Now somehow I feel Ani will try to prove Bon's innocence in some way as well. Mostly by exposing the real culprits.
