today I was talking to one of my friend who started watching MHRW on my recommendation… she pointed out that the writers butchered VD’s character from a doting father to a scheming vile man…what he is doing is not even something a FIL will do to her DIL …

while explaining her I realized that his character is written like that only…. I want to write a little about it so feel free to skip the post… these are just my thoughts

he cared for Pallavi as a daughter untill Raghav Rao came in their life…. he stood up for Pallavi when Raghav first insulted her in temple… he developed a little aversion for the guy… he came across him again in his own house at his niece’s wedding function, he claimed to be new owner of their shop, Raghav’s rude and arrogant attitude made him quickly dislike the guy…then one of the relatives claimed that He was spotted with his daughter in her room all alone and they are definitely having an affair… he was livid at the woman and defended his daughter ferociously only to be told that it was true the guy was their in her room but they don’t have any affair.. he was shocked and this incident awaken the FIL in him for the first time.. he asked her to stay away from him but immediately next day found her living Raghav’s house, overlooked by him who stood in balcony half naked… he barged into his house and warned him to stay away from her but Raghav in return insulted him.. the dislike grew stronger…

despite his objections, he found Pallavi meeting with Raghav frequently in haldi ceremony, in mehndi ceremony (he even witnessed Raghav’s initials on Pallavi’s palm. though its an accident but he took it as an act of defiance from Pallavi’s point of view), in sangeet ceremony when she went missing and rumored to be with Raghav … he got to know that Pallavi was in Raghav’s house at holi working late till night… and Raghav even cheated for Pallavi and made her win a competition….at this point her trust and love for Pallavi has started fading little by little and then comes abortion drama.. all proofs are against Pallavi and it seems she and Raghav actually had an affair. Raghav also insulted him in the hospital for slapping Farhad though he was partly at fault but at that point his dislike turned into disgust… Raghav proved himself and her innocent but in front of whole society causing Mansi’s marriage being called off.. its not Raghav’s fault but his disgust for Raghav clouded his judgement and he blamed Raghav for this…

and then the biggest blow when Raghav claimed in front of everyone that he and Pallavi are indeed having an affair..he was shattered and his reputation was blown to pieces… he now downright hates Raghav and have no love left for Pallavi and in the fit of anger threw her out in middle of the night…

after that he was a changed man…he tried to stop his wife and son to look for Pallavi as he simply doesn’t care for her..but they defied him.. off late everyone is defying him and he blamed Raghav and pallavi for this… he was hospitalized and later came to know that Pallavi married Raghav… in his mind all his doubts become a belief.. he was enraged that how blind he was not to see this before… and from that point onwards he is easy to manipulate… against pallavi and he needs no manipulation to be against Raghav…he didn’t believe that pallavi was innocent when Raghav told the truth because firstly the words are coming out of Raghav’s mouth whom he hated deeply and second he has already judged pallavi to be at fault and simply doesn’t care for her anymore… Sulochana’s drama just a moment also did not help the case… he takes joy in hurting Raghav either by humiliating him, throwing him in jail no matter whether he is innocent or not..or by separating him and Pallavi … he has no emotions left for Pallavi not loving anyways… he only wants her back because that is what his son who is back from dead wants… for him Pallavi is now an object which is desired by his son and he wants him to have it at any cost… and in the process Raghav getting hurt is just cherry on the cake…

so he is blinded by Rage and hatred.. he has done some irredeemable stuff but he will definitely see his folly in future and I would love to see how writers will show his repentance…
