Sai's indifference towards Virat's feelings

This is not about who is right or wrong, but more about the situation playing catalyst.
Virat has not been vocal about his feelings with Sai and we have time and again wanted to bash him up for it at every opportunity lost😜 . But his actions have spoken louder than words, and lately he has expressed it in so many words as well. The whole world around him can see that he is head over heals in love with Sai except her🤦🏻‍♀️. Sai, on the other hand has either programmed her mind, to ignore it or simply not register any such indications.

This has been a topic of discussion numerous times. And we have come up with various reasons for her indifference, starting from Sai's insecurity, Virat's jalebi talks, his vaada, the MU etc. But here I wanted to address one particular reason. Will start with a question.

With all the other facts in place as it is except that Pakhi was not in living in CN (she was either living with her parents or at Samrat's father's house), all the other issues wrt to Virat's past still exist between Sairat. Would the situation be the same?

Maybe yes, because Sai is insecure and she will guard her heart. But maybe NO

Because Pakhi acts as a constant reminder. Even if Sai gets carried away, Pakhi's taunts bring her back. But coming to Sai's indifference. She is not immune to his charms.. nope, he is here "celebrity handsome"🤣 how much ever she may tease him otherwise. And he means the world to her. But she turns a blind eye to his feelings. Because instead of understanding the underlying meaning of Virat's gestures or words, she is more convinced by Pakhi's actions and words. Pakhi had been very transparent with respect to her stand, and openly shows her jealousy. She expresses her emotions very strongly. And Virat has been very subtle with his actions. Maybe thats how they are as individuals. But then with so much baggage already, and with the existence of a past and promise that Sai was well aware of, Pakhi's actions only strengthen her take on Virat and Pakhi's relationship. Hence, Pakhi's actions and words weigh over Virat's actions for her, and she refuses to see the true intentions behind Virat's gestures and words. Pakhi's existence in CN and her behaviour supercedes and overshadows Virat's feelings for Sai and she ends up categorising everything under his responsibility (how much ever she hates it). Sai is only reading into Pakhi, and wrt Virat she has already established a verdict and she blindly goes by it. Like she has those blinkers on, which are used on racing horses for restricted view. Though she sees and appreciates everything, she fails to see through the true feelings behind it because she is clouded by Pakhi's overpowering existence in their lives.

Sai knows she is aham for him, she knows he cares for her, she knows he pampers her, she knows he is protective about her but does she know he loves her ? NO!! She knows he is overwhelmed with guilt with what he did to her and probably is upset with himself for not taking her responsibility as he was supposed to as per the vaada given to aaba... I remember reading too many stories, where the protagonists are almost the same age as in the show and share a good platonic relationship, the man very caring, very loving towards the woman and when the woman takes it as love, her whole world is broken because she is told it was never love, he loves her but not the kind of love a man does to his woman... Here in this story, Sai is being the woman, who believes Virat is a good man and is love with someone else...and unlike Pakhi she believes "Virat Sir apna vaada nibhate hain...Ek vaade k liye mujhse shaadi tak kar liya"... She feels the change but is not ready to accept it, because of these two vaadas...one that he gave to AAba, and one that he gave to Pakhi, which she got privy to recently and since then , in her own words, if she had developed any hopes of being loved by him while taking care of Virat , she squashed them...One has to see that scene again where she talks to Pakhi and Virat after hearing it all, and then where she talks to Virat after he stops her and asks her if he holding back from the commitment because she feels bad and I wont feel bad anymore, to understand what she thinks.. Both those conversations are open ended.. She got no concrete answers.. We hardly see her monologue, we do see Virat thinking something else and saying something else, but we dont get to see what's going in her head.. Even I did not know she had forgotten the deal marriage while staying it Virat and taking care of him and only when she saw them together she was brought back to reality, I got to know when she had that monologue with herself and Virat Pakhi..It looked like she was telling herself than the other too..

And if at all he is telling her all these things where he mentions about wanting a real husband wife thing between them after accident, she would see it as his guilt and not love.

Especially Sai's constant mention of Pakhi having such a place in Virat's life, has been receiving eyerolls coz after his confession in ghe hospital viewers expected some change. But to no avail. She is still stuck in the deal marriage and Virat and Pakhi having feelings for each other. But it's been so long, Virat has moved on, when Pakhi hasn't. Thus her presence and behaviour is always a reminder for Sai and she turns blind eye towards Virat's heart eyes. Need to wait and watch how long this goes on 🥺

We thought the same when Virat clarified he is not committed to anyone and then we have Pakhi standing outside the room and accusing him of cheating after some day..What is a wife supposed to in this case..yet again she is being taunted by Pakhi..She mentioned Pakhi yesterday and today Pakhi did not fail her concern that she would be bothered by taunting her.. Virat in all these evades topic when they need to be addressed..Him telling her at hospital that he wants this marriage can also be taken as guilt from his side..Ehsaan at times..

Of course, I understand that his jalebis are annoying things. He never makes it perfectly clear to Sai that he doesn't have feelings for Pakhi, in clear words. Seriously before these two confess and get together, viewers will lose all their hair in the heads

See she brings Pakhi in every topic. She is more obsessed with her than him. She actually can't get over the fact that he had a past with her. She doesn't want to believe that he has moved on. She is also trying hard to convince herself that she doesn't love him. In today's episode she has said it thrice or so that there is no pati patni rishta between them. She actually doesn't want to listen to her heart but want to listen to her mind only which is still stuck at the past.

It is not easy for Sai to not only accept that he had a past, that he "loved"someone else before her. Because he did she thinks he can never "love" her so all his affection is out of habituation/attachment. She hadnt event had a boyfriend. To her making commitment that virat did to pp n as a result telling his wife not to have husbandly expectations from him on their marriage is etched in stone. And yes, if pp wasnt 24x7 there, taunting, insulting, sulking, angry- Sai maybe more responsive or understanding but pp is still there. And virat unfortunately stops her from leaving claiming Samrat would like to come back n see his bride, his wife around🙄 and because Sai perceives that pp is so important to family n virat Sai has become really mild mannered to pp.

If virat couldn't tolerate Sai having a friend, how is Sai supposed to so easily forget his vaada to somebody he "loved" who is living with them 24x7 n keeps reminding them of this "past"

Its not past yaar...Just on her birthday , she was told by Pakhi how Virat is cheating on her, how he makes her cry..Since the time she saw the confrontation between Pakhi and Virat on Harini's birthday, she even stopped calling herself his wife..Today only she was being taunted and she knows she is being taunted because Pakhi is jealous.. She knows Pakhi hates her because she is jealous...She was concerned that Pakhi would be bothered and Pakhi proved her right by taunting her yet again and Virat as usual was in his own world!!

She also asked if their is no commitment from his side, because she feels bad and if she feels bad, she would try not to..He never said anything on that..She has the overbearing ex always questioning her , her character, her relationship even her calling Virat her husband...And going by how he wants this marriage to ber real, it looks more like an ehsaan , a guilt for his end than a marriage that is because of love..She wants a marriage out of love..and she believes that love would always be their for Pakhi..She in clear words, has to be told that there is no love, no commitment for Pakhi because of his own will and not because of anyone else.. He need not even confess his love and she would be in this relationship...She does not want to be the third person in Pakhi-Virat's love.

Agree. There are multiple reasons for the MU. But i guess if Pakhi had not been there in CN as a permanent interference, things between these 2 would have been different or would have sped up atleast. Well, thats how the shows run a vicious circle of MU, keeps them going🤦‍♀️🤣

I also would have loved to hear Sai’s monologue. That’s the reason there is more speculation and analysis on Sai’s behaviour, because we don’t know much, and somewhere we have a better insight into Virat’s mind as far as his feelings for Sai are concerned. Tough luck i guess
