After a long time, here I am wanting to pen my thoughts down.
Today was a mixed bag for me personally. I saw a lot of you verbalize my thoughts, some of what I have might be a repeat of sorts, but please bear in mind that I have only gotten as far as page 15.
From a high yesterday, we were brought down to earth literally, by some of the mindsets that exists in the so-called mothers.
On one hand, we had an Aparna who disregarded the happiness of her only child, to support Malini, who she knows only through her son, and who she has limited interaction with. and whatever interactions she has had, post Malini moving into the T house is what we can consider to be in close proximity, and these have always been with either Malini complaining, or whining, or trying to guilt-trip the Ts.
On the other, we have an Anu C, who does not like the man her daugher loves, and just some episodes ago, was desperate for her daughter to be separated from him, and even went so far as to get him kidnapped, now has poisoned her own daughter to ensure that she suffers the same fate of being stuck to somebody who is in love with somebody else.
When you complain about how miserable your life has been all this while, why would you want to wish it on your own daughter? Pray tell!
Both these mothers are extremes for me, with one commonality. Both of them don't love their children, even though they profess to.
If we look at all the reasons why Aparna refuses to accept Imlie, below is the breakdown along with my view of it.
- Imlie and Aditya hid the truth - Biggest mistake but how long will you hold it against them? They told you why they hid it
- Imlie is usurping Malini's position - Is it really Malini's position? When her son refuses to accept Malini as his spouse, it automatically means the position was never Malini's
- Imlie is a naukrani - *rolling my eyes* Are we still holding it against her? Do you remember the time when Imlie had left Aditya to return to Pagdandiya and Adi had followed her, post which Malini had also left for the Chaturvedis? You had delusions of seeing Imlie first, followed by Imlie and Malini, followed by Malini and Aditya. If you missed her that much that you told Pankaj "teeno bacche kahan chale gaye?" are you the same woman even?
- Imlie is always taking credit for Malini - Seriously? I think it is high time the garam tawa truth comes out now. This will show who is the most dishonest of them all.
- Societal acceptance - Best Bahu negated this and how!
Open items needing attention - preferably immediate:
- Truth of the poem
- Truth of who pursued whom and who loves whom
- Truth of all of Malini's lies
- Truth behind the kidnapping - Imlie needs to recognize the asli gunde that kidnapped Adi
- Some interaction between Adi and Imlie that does not involve anybody else and is just about them
- Truth to the Ts about all the times that Adi and Imlie have been misunderstood - including the Pagdandiya 3 for Adi - Nobody knows where he was at till date. the snake bite and the accident and grave digging are hidden from the Ts.
I still think the Ts reaction was milder than SKs, but is looking more class-less since it is long drawn out.
Bahut ho gaya bhai sahab... Pichle kuch dinon ki kamiya abhi poori kar rahi hoon lag raha hain! Phew
