Decided to watch yesterday's and today's episodes during dinner. I'd barely started eating aur episode khatam ho gaya🥱 Skipped all the angan drama from today. But I have some thoughts from yesterday's Shivi scenes. Apologies if it's all already been discussed.
It started off typically with the masale ke taane 😆 But when Raavi asks him point blank ki kya woh chali jaayein, Shiva was a little surprised and maybe hurt too. Isliye he goes on the self-preservation mode ke farak nahi padta.😆 But when Raavi changes tactics ki usse Shiva ke sar par zindagi bhar nachna hai and is ready to make compromises, kya extreme reaction tha. Just like with the previous terms aadat, taras, Shiva ka toh matar jaise dimaag bandh hi ho gaya. 🤪
During the dance scene, pehle toh, though Krish was well-meaning, faltu mein cheda usse 🤔 Can I just say I'm not surprised? Shiva as a character has always lashed out at her, verbally and physically too. Case in point- their first bedroom scene after their marriage. 🤔Today, he did it publicly, and he should definitely be called out for it. Good ITV shows can make you hate a character one day and root for him after a few episodes. I have no problems hating him today... but I do expect a good redemption arc before I can sympathize with him. Unfortunately, I don't have any hopes that this show will deliver.
In both these interactions, I'm actually surprised with Raavi's responses. Since when did she become so quiet and bechari?😳 Na koi ache taane na koi visible ghusa. He's pushed her of the dance floor in the first dance too...but chipkali has always come back and clung to him harder. She's always given him back in equal measure...but ab biwi banke she's stopped fighting him She didn't go after him or even complain to anyone in her nautanki way. Makes me wonder if she's at her breaking point...
Wrt Shiva/Dev conversation, keeping aside that I don't quite like gyaani Dev, it's a bit hard to decipher Shiva ka driving motivation. Is it that Shiva doesn't want Raavi to settle and so he's trying to free her? Or is it that he wants Raavi to love him for himself?😳 Neither justifies his actions but it makes me wonder what will be his eventual breaking point...
Also, if I combine everything that happened today, will he want to nibhao the rishta for his Dhara Bhabi's izzat or his maa's bacho vali khwaish? 🤔Seeing their trajectory so far, I think not and I certainly hope not. I want them to choose to be together out of their own volition...but I wouldn't put it past these writers to show something atrangi Not that I think it will work for more than a few episodes.
ITV shows have their good phases and there's really terrible phases. This show is on a downward trajectory, and I don't think it's at the lowest point yet. That's why I've watched every show in skip mode. Here, either they'll have the chance to improve or they'll just fizzle out
they do. It should be possible to pull up Suman and gautam one at at a time using those ropes, I don't know why these people aren't trying that 🤪
Unless the rope is too weak to hold a person's weight?
