Different threads at this point. Maybe not as much now, and I'm not saying anyone said this about this current situation specifically bc i haven't looked through too much of the forum yet - but when this track started, I saw it floating around a lot.

Maybe I interpreted it wrongly but thats how it came off to me - using the emotional manipulation as a crutch for defending her actions or saying that she shouldn't be held accountable because she's being emotionally manipulated. I get the reasoning behind it but it doesn't absolve her of her decisions IMO.

Whether it's the characters deciding things for her (i.e. SKB & Raghav deciding if Pallavi should or should not go to D house - like what in the world was that. You and only you can decide how you react to other people's actions & statements. You have to know yourself really well and be cognizant of the situation to really stop yourself from being manipulated. And even then, often as humans we let ourselves be emotionally manipulated by those we love because we give them that power over us, it's pretty natural. But just because someone is emotionally manipulated doesn't mean they're not responsible for their actions. We all have our own brains that we can use to think and decide whats best for ourselves.

I'm not saying its 100% her fault for thinking what she's thinking, but I'm also saying she has her own choices she can make and she chose what she chose. We can't "blame" that on anyone or anything but her.

I've been emotionally manipulated before, I know how it feels, I understand how it can happen without you realizing it. I looked back at myself and asked myself how I could have ever let that happen. My own family had asked me how I could ever let that happen because they would've never thought a woman who was educated, smart and successful (LOL NOT tooting my own horn but I hope the point makes sense) would ever let that happen to her. They would've never guessed in a million years that I would let someone who I was ready to marry do that to me. So I get that part of it. Of not recognizing when or how it started. But it never absolved me from the decisions I made during that time. And it could never, because in the end I still consciously made those decisions.

It doesn't of course mean she's not unforgivable or should be written off as a lost cause. Or should be bashed and trashed and dragged. But IMO, we need to hold characters responsible for their own decisions.

Yes Raghav was wrong to take it as far as he did in that moment, but Pallavi can choose to react that way or not. We get to decide for ourselves what we let affect us and influence our decisions. And even then, I get why she left at that moment. I don't even really blame her for that. A lot of it was her anger speaking. What really upset me was her accepting SKB vachan as if her mother was not also saying at the same time, you don't have to do this.

This is 100% true. People don't recognize when they are being emotionally manipulated. It is high time we Indians realize that women are always made victims of emotional manipulation and even well educated and working women fall into this trap.

My cousin fell in love with his office co-worker and they were about to get married too. Suddenly the girl's sister died and she had a small baby so the in-laws told the girl to take care of the baby and it was first for a month then went to 6 months and then by the end of the year she was forced to marry her widowed brother-in-law. My cousin was left stranded and it took him a long time (around 7 years to finally move on). Who is at wrong here? I solely blame the girl for being spineless to stand up to the emotional manipulation.

Duniya kya kahegi - I have to do my farz and my responsibility. Yes by all means teach the kids all this but also teach them to look after their own self-interests and their own lives. You do have only 1 life to live after all. I totally hated Vijay Deskhmukh when he did the promise. Eventually what Raghav said in the beginning that the Deshmukhs are going to exploit Pallavi's goodness and get her back to the D house has happened.

What kind of doctor is she. I absolutely loved Raghav's response - Get Mandar treated with another doctor. Who gives this kind of advice to take care of a patient.

Waise Does SIckand think that shirtless Raghav crying in the episode will fetch him TRPs? Sickand totally has lost the plot today. I asked one of my friend to watch the show and the first thing she asked was - What is this weird obsession of the FL with her dead husband's family and In-laws.
