Uncle/aunt/cousin already know Sonu and have formed a bond with her.

Sonu is young and malleable.

There's no reason to kill Sonu the kid here- it achieves nothing.

But if it's a question of keeping malleable DIL and grandson together, getting rid of unborn female kid that no one has yet formed an attachment to? Very doable in her case.

These two are love. When Ahaan got to know about Rhea's pregnancy he never thought about leaving Ishqi. And even today Ishqi's dialgues were such that she is not thinking to leave him either. They are sticking to their promise of not leaving each other.

It is so refreshing to see this on ITV. Else pregnancy means either FL or ML leaves. Ahaan was not even ready to leave Ishqi before marriage either. He told Kartik that he would have told truth to Ishqi and Ishqi would have decided if she wanted to get married to him. He did nto say he would have married Rhea. This is something I really really appreaciate about pregnancy track in this show. They did not bring pitty marriage due to pregnancy.

It is indeed unique. Even this crappy pregnancy track is shown in a different light. Now dadi will bring Rhea at home and pressurize Ahaan but Ishqaan independently did not decide to sacrifice their marriage over pregnancy. This is also progressive in a sense that why should pregnant girls need to be married, why cant they be single mothers?
