I don’t particularly like animals… I don’t torture them or want them to not exist …they can happy doing their thing and I’ll do mine…just don’t want them to pounce on me or lick me coz I find it gross 🤢

I’ve been judged so many times for this tho 😳 and have almost been made to feel ashamed for it

For most of these people, animals are dogs and cats, or tigers, lions, and elephants. Anything in between like cows, pigs, chickens, goats, Indian buffalos, etc. are food. I can guarantee that these folks have tasted deer or crocodile meat, which is still a speciality in elite circles.

Tbh, it wouldn't be an issue if they didn't act holier-than-thou.

Honestly, I would tend to agree. I know generalisation is bad and unfair BUT I’ve noticed that the fiercest animal lovers who make a point to put animals’ welfare before human’s (we’ve all seen comments such as “we don’t deserve animals”, “humans are trash”) are usually awkward, socially aloof or straight up narcissistic twats.
