Hello Forum Wasiyon,
Welcome to Discussion of the week,
So I had this idea to start discussion of the week, and what more can I think of other than Criticism and Insult difference to start the Discussions with a cup of Koffee☕️⭐️. As you may know we as forum members have crossed all limits to insult certain actors of our favorite show,😈 which I am against, I mean you all can criticize the actor's acting, their character and story of our serial, I am all for it. But sometimes we do not realize where our criticism in going...😎😆
Here we will discuss on the Hot Topic of criticism and insult.😲 Difference between the two. I know you all must be thinking we know the difference and all. I know, but this will make us take a bigger dive into criticism and insult. Its a general topic for discussion, you may use reference from GHKKPM actors but do not target them.😉
The main purpose of this is to learn different perspectives of everyone and also put a check on ourselves when we cross the line. I Hope we all learn from this discussion.🤓
Discussion of the week:
What is criticism?. Does criticism means the same as insulting? What is the difference between criticism and insult?
Rules
-DO NOT bring in Aishwarya, Neil, Ayesha or other actors of GHKKPM and divert the topic to them.
-DO NOT attack other members opinion.
-Follow IF Code Of Conduct all the time.
-Follow Forum Rules all the time.
My answer to the Discussion Question: There is a thin line between criticism and insult, one may not realize when one goes overboard with criticism it becomes insult. For instance, I have a friend and i dont like the way she dresses up at parties, so I tell my friends " look she is all dressed up like a clown" - this is insult and may be I am drawing a line into her personal comfort. If i would have said " she needs to dress better, she looks okay in this" this would be a constructive criticism.
To quote definitions from google
Criticism: the expression of disapproval of someone or something based on perceived faults or mistakes
Insult: speak to or treat with disrespect or scornful abuse.
Let the discussion begin,
